I have been coming to Visionworks faithfully for my frames. This will be my LAST time. Cindy took no initiative to help me. I asked her to print out my benefits since that would be a factor in my decision making. She declined. Just gave me vague information. She told me get my prescription from next door. IT TOOK TWO SECONDS. A Caucasian lady walked back in with me and she helped her as I sat idle. None of my requests were handled. &when she walked past me again after 15 mins all she said was “did you pick your frames yet.” Like ma’am am I the customer or not?? Are you here to work to the best of your ability or not??? I would never treat her like that if she called my job. I spend $400-$500 on frames a year with VSP insurance because my vision is terrible. Had my HSA card READY. I’m sitting in my car just furious about my experience. I was the only black girl in the room and IT FELT LIKE IT. I guess my money isn’t good here. NOTED. &I AM DONE WITH VISIONWORKS!! &I canceled my appt with My Family Vision for next year just for being associated. I’ll take my money to MyEyeDr or whomever else.*Update* I went to MyEyeDr on Oleander and had a completely different experience. I was greeted with A SMILE upon arrival. My benefits were printed PRIOR to me choosing frames so I could see what I was working with. Also without me asking!! The entire transaction took no more than 20 minutes. That was the experience I needed after being treated the way I was. I will be contacting VSP to let them know how their “Premier Members” treat their customers.One last thing. This is what Cindy was busy doing. I guess this was more important than providing me my benefits or treating me with COMMON HUMAN DECENCY.

Honestly if you get your prescription and order online I swear u would save more money. I lost my glasses then found them cracked. To order from visionworks was over a $100. To order from zooloo 2 pair for $55. I just want to see I don't care about them being fancy. Good luck out here!

I highly recommend Julia at the Wilmington Visionworks!My husband and I stopped in the week before Christmas.Even with his help, I still take forever to decide on frames.Julia came over and was not only incredibly friendly, but incredibly knowledgeable!She patiently helped us figure out the best deal, and even though advanced prescriptions usually take longer--my glasses were ready in a few days! She just as helpful when I picked them up, and encouraged me to come back in for any needed adjustments. A+!Excellent experience!

Absolutely loved the exam and service I received. Julia was my optician and she was very helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly! I can’t wait to get my glasses!

Tried to make an appointment and was rudely managed by billing/insurance department. The representative would not explain herself and was very short with me on the phone. Not a pleasant experience as a customer, will not be using this franchise at all.

Please Go See Erica today at Visionworks! Upon entering the store she greeted me with kindness, patience and she helped me, no charge to me. Erica at Visionworks on Oleander and College road is super amazing! I purchased some Gucci glasses from Costco and they were crooked on my face. After several adjustments with Costco they were still crooked ( Costco told me it was my face, this isn't my first pair of glasses, unbelievable) Now after my visit today, my progressive work the way they are supposed to, and I can see!! I'll shop here next time I need some glasses, because of Erica's professionalism and kindness! Thank you, God Bless!

I got a new contacts prescription from this location about 6 months ago and each interaction I’ve had with the staff has been pretty bad. They’ve been rude and very unhelpful and they’ve made a mistake each time I’ve ordered another box of contacts.I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt since I’m not one to complain, but at some point a business can’t be this bad so I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

The old lady that works in there has bad service mind. She didn't treat the customers with respect and that created the uncomfortable feeling to shop there. I don’t think I will shop there anymore.

I have gone to this place twice. I have been sent several text messages to make my third appointment, so I finally called to make my appointment with them. When I asked the lady named Heather what insurance they took she said most insurances. I named one and of course she said I haven't heard of that. Well I was asking what they did take so I could go on marketplace and purchase insurance so that I can see them regularly. Her response was a long sigh like I was annoying the hell out of her. There are a ton of other places that would be happy to help me and I will be going to one of them. She was rude and not a good representation of that business.

The last time I went to Vision Works everything went well and I purchased two pairs of glasses. Yesterday was a completely different experience. There was a sign-on sheet upon entry and I signed in. I began to shop for frames. An employee came over and handed me a tray, noting that glasses tried on must be placed in the tray for sanitation. Thirty minutes later, that was the only contact with a salesperson that I had. At least six people came into the store after me and were seen by an employee. Finally I had enough of being ignored and prepared to leave. The person with me said he would contact the manager and suddenly two employees who were "idling" jumped in. One of the individuals, a petite dark-haired female, then said we had gotten overlooked and my paperwork was in the administrative area awaiting assignment. But I did not have any paperwork! I had my RX with me but no one asked for it. No employee contact, no paperwork. Nothing was done to detain/serve me after this interaction. Their customer service was not just nonexistent, but extremely frustratrating. I then went to another store, where I purchased two pairs of glasses and the employees treated me with respect and as though their business valued and depended on a high level of customer service.

This is my third order at Visionworks. The have a great offer of 2 pairs for $99. They take care of me professionally and promptly. I usually get my eye tests somewhere else, but they fill my needs for frames, lenses and service. I will definitely go back.

Great optometrist very helpful showed me my eye scans! Lucked out and was able to schedule an appointment same day while down for vacation. Wish she was in DC so she could be my regular eye dr!
