Wallace Park is a lovely little hidden gem and fun neighborhood park in Wilmington. It is a great walking park for people and pooches, and is very dog friendly. The park features a great playground, safe for all ages, with an excellent playground centered in the middle of the area. This includes a swing set option for special needs children and a separate ‘mommy and me’ swing set. There is also a basketball court, a pretty nice walking trail, and a creek for fishing or watching turtles. A small picnic area is available. The park has lots of grass and room for playing soccer, frisbee, or football. It is a beautiful area with beautiful, very old cypress trees. The park changes with the seasons and offers a quiet moment. There is no specific parking area, so visitors park on the side of the road. It is a very nice venue and a great place for children and dogs, recommended for photographers to use for shoots.

Great place for children and dogs. Lots of grass and room for playing soccer or frisbee also. Throw the football, whatever. I grew up practicing Pop Warner football and offseason high School soccer at this park. Very nice venue.
