I needed a car battery for my Pathfinder, and the person who assisted was very knowledgeable on the right product I needed. A free installation was included too. The service was professional.

Traveling through on I-40 on Sunday night, my family had a vehicular incident that involved small moving parts not moving anymore or simply disappearing. We pulled in; an hour and $100 in parts later, we were back on the road again. The staff here was remarkably helpful in assisting us get back on the highway. Great experience!

I went in here to exchange some wiper blades that I had accidentally got the wrong size in as I tried to do it myself and know nothing about cars. Lucas at the counter was a tremendous help in finding the exact wiper blades I needed for my car. There was some unique factor about the make/model of my car and he knew immediately about the specific type of unique set up this car required. Lucas was extremely friendly and helpful, getting the correct wiper blades for me and showing me how to assemble them as there were some unusual aspects with this particular set, he even encouraged me to return with my car if I needed any help when he was on shift and that he would be happy to help me. Whoever is the manager/corporate headquarters person who might be reviewing this or assessing employees, Lucas at this store is a truly amazing employee, and someone who is great with customers and very knowledgeable at what he is doing. Lucas should be 100% promoted as he is a huge asset to your company. For Lucas-if you keep displaying the type of effort you did when I was there, you will go very far in life. Terrible location and dishonest practices by employees. My spouse came to this location after her battery died in her vehicle. We called AAA in which they confirmed the battery was bad and defective. The AAA employee advised us that he could sell us a battery but the battery my spouse had was under warranty and that wouldn't be the right thing to do. The AAA employee was able to provide enough charge to drive to Advance Auto Parts on 1465 Trade Mart Blvd. Upon arriving my spouse had the battery checked and was informed the battery has some power so they wouldn't be able to replace it using the warranty. She explained it was just jumped which is why it has a charge. The employee was persistent in not honoring the warranty. We contacted corporate to explain what had happened, surprisingly we were advised that as long as their devices do not say that the battery is defective they do not have to replace it even if the battery went bad within a week or closer to the end of the warranty. To make a long story short we then took it to a competitor who checked it and confirmed it was a bad/defective battery. We eventually purchased a battery from them. I will no longer purchase a battery from Advance due to the shady business practices of them trying to get out of warranties. Please take heed to this review before purchasing a battery from this location.

I had my battery replaced by Lucas who was super friendly and helpful. I always dread going to mechanics/auto parts stores because I don’t know much about cars and I worry about being taken advantage of, but Lucas was very honest and knowledgeable and seemed like a genuinely good person. I will certainly be coming back if I need anything similar in the future! :)

This morning around 9:00, I went to the Advance Auto at 1465 Trade Mart Blvd Winston Salem NC 27127. I was going crazy because I could not figure out how to put windshield wipers on a 2002 Honda Civic, lol. An employee named Jake took it upon himself to zip out to the car and take care of it in less than two minutes. I swear, it was making me crazy. It was important because this week I have to drive to Canada, and I Know it's going to be raining between here and there. Anyway, Huge Thanks to Jake and the fine people at Advance Auto! Five Stars All the Way! No wonder you guys are so popular! Thanks Very Much!!!

I want to give a shoutout to Lucas Genevie over at store #4500 on Peters Creek Parkway. I have visited this location several times over the past few months, and each time I did Lucas assisted me. He makes sure I have exactly what I need and answers any question I have.I was chatting with him during my last visit, and I told him how much I appreciated him helping me. He then mentioned that he does his best to be there for his customers. He approaches each customer as if they may be having a bad day since people typically don't visit auto-parts stores unless their vehicle needs maintenance. He wants to be part of the solution to their problem.I know there are a lot of stores that struggle to find quality people to represent their brand these days, so I do my best recognize quality service when I receive it. Lucas takes great pride in his work and treats everyone with kindness. Thank you, Lucas, for all the effort you give each day.

A big shout out to Lucas and Sam who have restored my faith in customer service! My car wouldn't start and I was stranded in a parking lot in Winston-Salem. My dad came to help--he cleaned the corrosion off the battery and tried to jump it but the car still wouldn't start. I was really dreading paying for towing 30 minutes to a mechanic in my town, so we called nearby Advance Auto Parts to see if they would come to us and install a new battery. Lucas was so nice and said Sam would come out and do it for us. Sam arrived shortly and quickly installed the battery--in the pouring rain! When the car still wouldn't start, he tried a couple of other things to tweak the starter and called Lucas for input. They got my car started! What a blessing in the middle of a heavy downpour! These guys were so knowledgeable, professional, and helpful and really went the extra mile for me. Advance Auto Parts (the Trade Mart Blvd. location in particular) is now my go-to store for anything I need for my car. Thanks again, guys!

Walked in and greeted the male worker with pink hair at the front as I walked towards him. He then looks at me and walks away for two seconds without saying anything and then walks back to the register and then acknowledges me. I asked if I could get someone to scan my car if they had the time and he asks if my CEL was on so I said yeah. He then says ok I’ll meet you outside in just a bit. I waited almost 15 minutes out there for his “bit” to come before leaving. I was the only car at the store besides someone else getting something replaced by another employee. I usually don’t do negative reviews but this employee didn’t seem to care or bother to even tell me he was tied up (if so) when he came outside to talk to the other employee for a bit before going back in the store. It takes 30 seconds to scan codes on a car so I know he wasn’t that busy. Poor customer service on his end.
