Sides Branch Rd location is the worst!Always SO slow, no matter what time of day. The only reason I go there is because it's on my way home from work. The ATM is frequently out of service, and the drive thru window is slow. Don't ever go here if you're in a hurry. Been coming here several years and it never gets better.

This unfortunately is not a true bank branch, it's only an ATM. It's a bit disappointing.

I just wanna come here to say thank you. Thank you to the online right rep that chatted with me today and the rep I talked to in person after they charged me fees for purchases I didn't authorize. If not for your condescending, patronizing attitude, I wouldn't be looking for a new bank or credit union. I don't know why I haven't already changed Banks. Maybe it's because after my husband was killed, it felt really heavy to close this account we had together. But today I decided to not do anymore business with them. I have had this same type of attitude from almost everyone I have had to deal with at this bank over the last several years. First of all, they offer little evidence that they really care about people and take it a step further by treating you like a disobedient little kid or a criminal trying to pull one over on them any time a problem comes up. The attitudes are just too much. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in their corporate trainings to see how this approach to customers is perpetuated. This week charged me fees (again) for things I didn't charge EVEN though i signed multiple documents over the past 8 years asking for them not to pay if there isn't money to cover it in the account. You know what she told me? WE DIDN'T PAY IT. We honored your agreement. We just charged the fees!!! Wow! On a call about 2 months ago, I had a lady tell me I was lying about signed a document that was also supposed to prevent charges and fees from overdrafts. I asked her to review the account and LO AND BEHOLD IT WAS THERE. Did she apologize??? NO! I challenge Allegacy to review this call specifically! Or all the calls, honestly. Today took the cake. Again, fees charged for charges I don't even recognize. I was told I have to sign documents stating it wasn't my charge and wait for the bank to reverse the fees. The bank put my account into the negative with fees from charges I didn't make AND told me I need to deposit more money to cover the fees THEY charged because, if their fee reversal process hasn't completed in 10 days that I will face more charges from the bank. For charges I didn't make. The reps their talk over you, interrupt you (5 times in the call I made a few minutes ago), talk down to you, and treat you like a criminal regardless of the situation. It really seems to reflect the corporate culture of the credit union. Find another bank or credit union. They offer nothing special at all that makes their credit union worth doing business with. FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO BANK WITH.To be honest, their checking and savings account rates are really low. There are so many high yield checking and savings accounts these days, find yourself a bank that you will benefit from and that treats you with respect and, most of all, that they WANT YOU AS A CUSTOMER.

I dont know what's going on at this location but they are much slower than the other ones. I could have driven to a location further from here and more out of the way and I could have been assisted. All I needed to do was make a deposit and that took way too long. The staff is plesant its sust the speed is visibly slower here BEFORE and during covid restrictions. I guess I'm complaining to the air since this has been an issue for 3 years now. I thought Id try again and it is still not as good as any of the other branches but located downtown in a prime spot...what gives--no anger, just odd?

This is so much better than my Suntrust/Truist experiences. I find Allegacy's customer service and business model/practices to be far superior to Truist. However, I do think that the phone situtation with this bank and others I have used needs to be vastly improved. The push to get everyone to do everything online is not always the best approach. Whether it is the lackings of the online system or something personal to the person calling in, sometimes phones are the most efficient way to solve an unusual issue. Treating people that call in as second class citizens by making them hold and putting through a gauntlet of phone prompts can be infuriating. I love online banking capabilitites but phones still have an important spot in the customer service process.

I thought the days of having a responsive personal banker were long gone. Karen Morgan proved me wrong, some of the best customer service I've experienced, we are moving all of our personal and business accounts over to Allegacy.
