Took my cat in because they were very lethargic and low energy. Nothing else was wrong with her. Walked out with an 800 dollar bill just to be told she has a fever. I asked them to do a physical first which should include the temperature being checked, and when they came back they said nothing was wrong has had to do bloodwork along with an x-ray. Only then did they say that she just has a mild fever. Did they lie to me? Did they only check her temp AFTER bloodwork and a X-ray? I told them I was spending money I didn’t have but I guess that doesn’t matter to them. Waited 3 hours.

Horribly ill prepared for patients. 8+ hour wait time with no updates or explanations. I understand other emergencies may come in and push back when I can be seen, but I’d at least like to be communicated with since I’m also here for an emergency. They could tell us to come back in however many hours instead of having us waiting and hoping that each time a door opens it’s for us to finally be seen.

Very overpriced and exaggerated needs of our injured pet. When seen by our local vet the next day no surgery or even stitches were needed as they indicated .

Obviously going to the ER for your pet is never a good thing but the people at CVS were great. The wait can vary significantly based on what they have going on, but honestly it's a good sign to me when a service like this knows how to triage and prioritize. My dog was well taken care of healed up good as new. I do not recommend that anyone needs these services, but if you do, I trust CVS.

All staff are knowledgable and courteous; truly have your pets best interest in mind. However, be prepared for some inconsistencies amongst staff — we had called ahead for a euthanasia, called when we got there to confirm, were walked through the process on the phone and came in to sign paperwork. Minutes later we’re met outside by a tech who inquires as to our pets condition, walks us inside to an exam room, and takes our pet with her to the back. With the after care plans being decided less than 20 minutes earlier, we were shocked when the tech came back into the room with our pet and the veterinarian’s recommendation to potentially stop a symptom of a larger issue — which had led us to this incredibly difficult decision only an hour ago. Our decision was not made lightly, and not with only consideration for our wallets (at this point, we were able to afford basic emergency services at $700+), but in being confronted with our options I was told that I was being unkind. Whether this was in reference to the decisions made or my inability to remain Polly Positive during my 12 week old dogs euthanasia, it was incredibly unprofessional and inexcusable. Once the decision to put our pet down to be made final to the tech, it wasn’t but three minutes later we had a knock at the door saying the front desk was ready for payment whenever we were… it only got more confusing for us as the front desk was on one page and the technician was in a different chapter. While our cremation ($55+) was covered, nothing will make up for such an experience.

Took great care of our sweet baby girl. Gave us the options, prices for each and expected outcomes before proceeding with any procedures. Lindsay was the absolute best - not sure who loved who more, Masha to her or her to Masha!

I cannot say enough good things about this practice and the employees. My call to them on the Sunday after Christmas was handled with care and efficiency when I was worried about an injury to my kitty. I’m visiting from out of state, and so grateful they were open. I went over shortly after the call. They practice top notch COVID protocols, and you park at a numbered spot and call them to advise you’ve arrived. Even though there were quite a few folks there today, the wait was very reasonable. I really appreciated how well they handled my baby as well as the communication. I know it’s tough to not be able to go in with your pet, but just know that they will keep you posted. Thank you guys so much for taking care of my “only child” (?) in such a sweet, caring way, on a day that most people are home.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Highly dissatisfied!!! Worst place I've ever dealt with. Was on vacation from TX visiting family or Christmas and my dog ate something she shouldn't of. She threw it up but then started acting lethargic. Took her in and they gave her an xray but didn't let us see it. The vet Emily C. Blair DVM, said she had an unusual gas pattern she didn't like but didn't say she saw anything else. She recommended us giving her an overnight IV treatment that would cost $1200ish but she highly recommended surgery which would cost $4,500ish. We asked what is her chances of survival with the IV treatment and the vet said 50/50 chance. Not being able to pay for surgery we decided to take her home that night. They gave her a shot to not throw up and injected fluid into her back. Thinking she was going to die, the next 3 days we made her as comfortable as could be. I force fed her beef broth for some nutrients since she refused to eat and massaged her stomach area. On the third day she passed the worst gas ever and woke up to her back to her normal self and have had no issues since. Took her for a check up to her normal vet and he said this emergency vet most likely just wanted the money!!! He looked over the paperwork I got from them and said they only said she had an unusual gas pattern.I am SO glad we did not waste our money and put her in pain with surgery!!! They made it seem she was going to die without surgery!!! Almost ruined our Christmas day because of this place!!! I will be reporting them to BBB North Carolina winston-salem and North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board! We didn't even get a follow up call to see how she was doing. They clearly do not care about anything but money!

I brought my cat in because he had been attacked by another animal. I was there for over 5 hours! Many other people came and left while I was there. There was no explanation from the staff about what was taking so long. After I spoke to the vet and paid my bill, it took over 30 minutes more for them to bring out my cat. When I asked the receptionist if he was about ready, she just said she didn’t know. She didn’t bother to check. The vet said my cat needed a booster rabies vaccine but they couldn’t give it there because they didn’t have it! Now I have to take my cat to my vet for that vaccine after spending over $400. This veterinary practice needs some competition!!

My 10 1/2 year old chihuahua collasped Nov. 11 and I rushed him there. They took good care of him, he died 3 days later of natural causes but at least we knew what to expect. I highly recommend them!!

Anything more then a minor injury or illness they try to guilt owners into euthanizing. Lazy over priced and doesn’t value life. Will be reporting to state vet.
