Our primary vet referred my 9 year old German Shepherd to CVS to see a neurologist based on the issues she was having. We had an appointment with Dr. Bray and she was absolutely incredible. She sat in the exam room with us until all of my questions were answered, all of my thoughts were heard, and she had given every bit of help that she could. I can truthfully say that the care, attention, and professionalism she showed was better than I have ever seen. I walked out of her office feeling knowledgeable and confident in taking care of my dog’s new needs. You can tell that she genuinely wants what is best for the animals she sees.

I have never in my life seen a staff so empathetic as this practice. I brought my 15 year old cat in who was sadly dying of a bladder tumor and in a lot of pain. They told me my options and gave me ample time to make my final decision. The vet tech was incredibly kind and reassuring. I think her name was Natalie but I am not sure. If that wasn't it, you know who you are, and thank you so much for your kindness. Dr. Alcorn was a blessing to have take care of my cat Lightning. I was a mess and could barely speak but she helped me through the process of laying him to rest. On the worst day of my life these people were there for me and my cat and I am very thankful I chose to bring him here. Thank you all for showing me so much empathy in my darkest hour. I will never forget it.

I am extremely grateful for Carolina Vet Specialists. The overnight staff was amazing. They were kind and compassionate. My puppy was seen for a huge laceration on his face, it was late on a Sunday night and this office delivered on every level. Thank you to everyone who helped my family. Big Thank you to Giovanna and Dr. Annie Noeller. I will always hold a special place in my heart for you.

I called the night before . They said no appointments, so I walked in the next day at 12. I stayed out of work to take my fur baby. I live in a different town. I had 2 people before me when I got there. My dog is 23 years old and was having puss coming out of her pee pee. She had been suffering for 2 days but obviously that wasn't an emergency to them. No dogs had been hit by cars and almost everyone's dog walked in. So how is their emergency more important than mine. Its sad that humans don't care about the older things in life. Society is mixed up. The receptionist took another lady before me, because she had been sitting in there for a hour or so and said she had to go. Well she went and got a tech for her and they took her back. That was so disrespectful. I had complained 30 minutes before but I was told to wait cause emergencies kept coming in. The lady said her dog was bloated. Really! My dog hadn't ate or drank anything since the night before, she was hungry and thirsty so I went to the restaurant next door and got her water. My boyfriend works night shift and we had to go. I asked for a note for work, the lady at the desk refused without a Dr permission. So we waited another hour, people kept coming in but no one would see us. I started crying and went back in and said I need a note for work. We had already been there 3 and a 1/2 hours. She said it was going to be two more hours or until emergencies stop. I told her I can't keep waiting, she can say I didnt stay for my appointment but I want the time I got there untill the time I left. A different lady did the note for me. I missed a whole day of work. My fur baby is still hurting and my boyfriend was late for work. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. I cried all day. It's Sunday so my baby will have to wait again to get help. My vet is open tomorrow at North Davidson Vet and I know they will get her in there. I hope nobody else has to experience this with their fur baby cause it's rough working and trying to get our pets to the vet but I love my animal and will do anything for her. Not every job accepts the fact, that a animal is sick is an exscuse.

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. My pup was a patient here this morning, and from the onset the vet tech who answered my call was kind, patient and answered every single dumb question I had. She provided guidance which ultimately led to me deciding to bring my girl in, and when we arrived they were just as welcoming in person. My dog was treated quickly and the Doctor stepped out and explained everything and answered more of my dumb questions. They were able to fill all 3 prescriptions in house, rather than having to go to a pharmacy and the price was VERY reasonable. Maybe $100 more than my regular vet, which is more than fair given that it was 0400 in the morning. 10/10, thank you for taking care of my girl.If you peruse the reviews, you’ll probably note that the mass majority of the negative reviews are due to people who can’t pay. A wise Doctor I know well says “if you can’t afford the vet, you can’t afford the pet”. Folks, this is a business not a charity and they are under no obligation to treat your animal for free (even though I’m sure they would love too).Ignore the negative reviews, I am more than pleased with the service the pup and I received.

Dr Gill and Makayla were kind and compassionate and explained all the findings and options clearly..... would highly recommend! The front desk staff was helpful as well .. overall great experience!EDIT: This is pertaining to a return visit later. Unfortunately, we ended up euthanizing and after picking up our pets ashes and being told our account was good.....we get a bill in the mail 30 days later....the week before Christmas for 1/3 more than we had already paid. I called and left a message with Patricia who told me Danielle the manager would call me .... no return call...so after almost 3 weeks ...I called Jan 4 and Felicia put me thru to Danielle's voicemail and I left message asking her to call me..again got nothing. on the mean time i received another statement by mail, so I called Jan 23 and finally got to speak with Danielle.... offered nothing other than apology....While they provide excellent clinical services for your pets ..docs and vet techs(5 stars) .. however I give front office 3 stars...at best! The financial side of pet treatment must be considered.... everyone has a different budget and is entitled to know the balance when picking up ashes... not 30 days later! So the 5 star went to a 3 star:/

The staff is welcoming and kind, they’re honest, upfront, and handle emergency situations quickly. The doctors are knowledgeable and we’re able to get my pup in for an emergency surgery over a holiday and was transparent throughout the entire process. Can be a bit pricey but the level of 24/7 care and treatment you’ll get on short notice is absolutely worth it.

My regular vet was closed (Christmas night) and my cat needed to be seen. When the staff heard that I suspected that she was in distress and in pain they acted immediately. The veterinarian and staff were all very kind and compassionate and professional.

I would ask with all my heart that you be careful when taking your pet to this place. I took my dog to the emergency room because she was pregnant and had a dead dog stuck in her vagina. The receptionist was a very mean and cruel Hispanic woman. I think that my dog I no longer had a cure and she told me to put her to sleep. She told me that without even looking at my dog. No doctor saw her. She was the one who suggested that I not spend my money. Her case was no longer salvageable and the only thing my dog had was her puppy. dead and stuck, people who know about the case told me that what that woman did without even looking at my dog, that was the most cruel thing for a human being to do and if I could I would sue that woman and her clinic I swear to God I would. Please be careful. I leave everything to God and I hope that God works in that bad woman from the moment I entered that clinic and was treated by her because she is the only one who speaks Spanish, her manner and attitude with people gave me a bad vibe.
