I just left the store located at 12047 N, NC-150, Winston-Salem, NC 27227. There was issues with a deposit I made onto a Go2Bank debit card. The deposit didn’t show up in my account. The two guys working in the store were great and very helpful even though they didn’t know how to refund my money. One of them called the store Manager and explained the situation. The manager’s name was Thomas. After being told the situation Thomas said “Well he shouldn’t have came here to do it…Don’t tell him I said that”. He was unaware the employee had him on speaker phone, so I heard it and said “I was being polite, but after that comment you better figure out a way to fix this situation now”. He gave the employee the instructions to tell me to call the number on the back of my card then hung up on the employee. A manager should never act in such unprofessional way’s and make juvenile comments whether or not the customer can hear them. Fire that guy is my advice. Poor Attitudes like that are a cancer to a company that spreads quickly, especially coming from a superior.

I think that if you can’t run a store better than this???? you can’t pay the employees more to make sure that they are managing properly and doing what they need to do properly. If you’re not paying to have enough stockers, you’re not paying to have anybody clean? How can you still have the store open? This is the dirtiest most unorganized store I have ever seen dollar general should do better if you can’t pay people to do a better job than this you can’t run and organize your store better than this you should close the store down. The only good thing about this place are the people that work there are very nice and friendly. There just are not enough of them. Do Better DG

What a turn around! I made a point to not return to this location after visiting about a month and a half ago. It was just impossible to get around the store because of how cluttered and disorganized it was. I ran in for a quick grab today and was astounded! Someone new has to be in charge here! The shelves are stocked, the aisles are clear of boxes and debris, and the store is actually clean! Major turnaround! I would recommend giving this store a second chance to anyone that wrote it off like I did. I’m so happy to see things moving in the right direction again!

First time I have been in this store in along time , stopped in to grab something. This store is nasty stuff all over the floors everywhere , employee in the back eating . Out of everything and boxes sitting everywhere could not walk without having to step over stuff laying in the floors . I would not visit this store again .

This was my first time back in this particular store since they remodeled it, and even though some things had been put in different places, the staff was still very helpful even though the lady was on break she came back inside to help her associate so he could help his customers and they didn't work separately, it was a team effort.

Great prices. The cashiers have a shield in front of the customer but they do not wear a mask. That still seems unsafe.

I had the worst experience today. I made a purchase from this store. My receipt did not print out completely which I didn't realize until I walked to my car. I cam back in the store and waited in line to get a reprinted receipt. I need this for tax purposes as these were items for a business. The cashier told me the receipts have been printing out like that and she's unable to fix it. I asked could she get her manager and she said she could but asked me if I would allow her to finish ringing up the other customers in line. I obliged her even though I wanted in line again for assistance myself. The manager Alex came to the counter with an attitude telling me she couldn't help me. The printer is running out of ink. I let her know I needed a full receipt. She said she couldn't help me. At that point I asked for a refund. She told me the receipt I had wouldn't scan. She then told me I had to give my drivers license with a valid address. I went to the car to bring my bags in to return the purchase. I came back in with my items and Alex told me I had to get back in line. I went through the line and when I got to the counter she told me she couldn't do anything for me because she can't prove I made the purchase. I have a half printed receipt from your printer but you can't return my purchase which made no sense. She just told me she could return the items with my drivers license now she won't do anything. I had to call the Sheriffs department to get a police officer on site to get a refund. The officer stated he couldn't make them give me a refund but he did speak to Alex and asked her why she wouldn't refund my purchase with a receipt from their register. If you are a person of color I suggest you spend you money elsewhere. I was treated horribly.
