Absolutely horrible and unknowledgeable employees in the Drive-Thru. I was aware that there was a $10 fee to cash my paycheck from my employer at Hawks Florist, because I'm not a member.. that wasn't the issue we had. I have been cashing checks since February from the same employer. However the woman in the Drive-Thru all well knowing it was a business account, preceded to call my now disgruntled ex employer.. she then came back and said she couldn't cash it, it was over the maximum..#1.. if you were trained properly you would have looked at the check and have made that decision when first receiving it. However the maximum for all first national Banks between Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem verified there is a $800 maximum. My check was $454.The woman then said 'do you not have a bank you can do this with"... I knew that she was being prejudiced after calling my previous employer and my previous employer trying to make my life a little more difficult. That the woman in the Drive-Thru made up a lie hoping that I would not follow through with verification. I ended up cashing out my check with the very friendly people at the Arcadia branch. I then called the Stratford branch manager and gave her all the information over the phone where she verified it was a business check. I explained to her that we told the woman in the Drive-Thru it is a business check and it was clearly stated on the check the name of the business. She also called the business to verify.. The branch manager Stacy Waldrup (SP) then place me on a hold for a brief moment. When she returned instead of apologizing for the lack of knowledge or prejudice that was bestowed upon me in the Drive-Thru from the drive-thru employee, she proceeded to do damage control and made an excuse that the woman in the Drive-Thru had no idea it was a business account...... The entire branch is not a great experience from the drive-thru all the way up to the branch manager. I will definitely be placing this review on Yelp as well and letting everyone else know not to come to this branch.. the two stars precedes itself very well.

I took a chick that was drawn from an account at this bank and was told that I would need to pay $10 to cash a chexk that is going to directly come out of the account of the person because I don't have an account there that is Unnecessary

I don't know why people give bad reviews for this bank. I banked with them previously, I did leave because I wanted a secured credit card and FNB did not offer it.However, since coming back, the customer service is always grade A and the bankers make it their duty to welcome you and remember you are a customer of theirs.Since coming back I have opened 2 business accounts with FNB and Mrs. Waldrup has been amazing, banking is not like it used to be. This branch treats you like your family, and if you do not think that's important, go to bank of America or Wells Fargo. At major banks like that, your just a ripple in a ocean of customers.

Friendly people, antiquated banking. Paperless options don't really work, slow transactions, not suitable for modern business.

Super friendly staff who is easy to work with! They resbond quickly to my needs. I have 2 businesses that I run through the FNB Winston-Salem branch. They quckly handle my requests, and even help me with my mistakes. Thank you Winston-Salem crew for helping me run my business smoothly.
