Food Lion is a grocery store that is doing better, with a cleaner store and employees who are very helpful and have better attitudes. The store is often well stocked with fresh items, including local products. Pricing is usually better than other grocery outlets, with good and even great prices on Food Lion brand items, especially with the MVP loyalty card. The quality of meats is excellent, though pricing on them can be a bit high. The produce department is notably well-maintained. The store has both regular checkout lanes, which is nice for seniors, and self-checkout for a quick trip. The staff is friendly and helpful. While the store is generally well stocked, occasional issues like panic shopping before weather can affect inventory. Shoppers may want to watch how groceries are bagged as the bags are of poor quality and could damage items. Many customers shop there regularly and happily recommend it.
