I am a patient of Dr. Sweeney’s. He goes above and beyond. I am a complicated patient and he does every thing he can as a Dr. to help me out. Dr. Sweeney is a true meaning of what a physician should be.

Amazing experience. Some of the nicest & professional individuals I have met. They really seem to care about their patients. Dr. Campbell performed my colonoscopy and he was very nice, thorough, and informative. The nurse took me in within 5-10 minutes upon arrival. The procedure took around 1 hour to 1 hour & 15 minutes. I was upon and ready to leave within 30-45 minutes. Everything was quick and ran like a well oiled machine.

If you are looking for understanding, compassionate care you may want to look elsewhere. My loved one is rapidly losing weight, always in constant pain, can not lift with out hurting more, vomiting multiple times a day, not sleeping due to pain and sickness...I could keep going but asking about being wrote out of work was pointless the first time. We got completely ignored, the second time when he went for a colonoscopy and endoscopy the dr was a more polite and wrote him out a week which was when we should be hearing about some results they said would be back by the end of week. Now we are calling and getting told it will take longer to get the results...and the person seemed like they didn't care to help at all. If you would not want to function like that yourself, why do you expect others too?

Could not be more pleased with the care I've received this year from GAP GI's providers, nurses, schedulers, front desk staff, vein specialists, and everyone else who has cared for me throughout my multiple hospitalizations and infusion treatments @ GAP. Am not exaggerating when I say I think these doctors and care providers saved my life multiple times. Looking forward to managing my condition with the highest care and concern in the industry. Grateful to have found GAP GI.

I had a good experience with Dr. Smith and all the nursing staff today with an endoscopy - everyone could not have been nicer, and all seemed to go well. The information I was given in writing and verbally let me to believe I could "resume a normal diet," even with encouragement to get breakfast. However trying to a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was very uncomfortable. Neither Dr. Smith nor any nurse said anything about eating soft foods, leaving me confused as to why there were no directions about what to eat or drink. Checking the internet indicated that I should eat soft foods for 24 to 48 hours and nothing hot. I wish I had known that before I tried to breakfast and drink coffee! And I would much rather get information directly from those administering the procedure than the internet.

I was just at the Forsyth Hospital this past Tuesday and Wednesday and had the most unorganized visit EVER. I was being pre-admitted on Tuesday for 2 procedures on Wednesday. The hospital had me down as "pending". When I was told to be there for admission at 8:00 a.m. Well they had no room for me. Told me to go home and they would call me if they ever got a room. What a joke. I went home and told them to just forget it. On to another issue The PA that was sent to see me from my doctors office, I believe her name was Christa Hubert, was horrible. I do not want to ever see her again. She was rude to both myself and my husband. Talked down to each of us. (Myself and Husband) Treated us as if we were stupid. That she knew everything and we knew absolutely nothing. This woman needs to be in another position where she is not working directly with people. She is condescending and down right rude. Hospital was total mad house. Hospital needs to hire people that actually care about patients. Hospital, nurses and doctors need to give more time to patients (remember) we do not want to be there either - but you are getting paid to be there.I have not even been called back from my doctors office to explain to me what is going on and what is happening next. I am in awful pain and run out of pain pills tomorrow - who cares that I am in pain right? not their pain.

I had the great blessing of being a patient of Gastroenterology Associates of the Piedmont (Winston Salem) and was under the care of Dr. Blake Scott. My experience was exemplary. I have nothing but the highest praise for the practice and Dr. Scott. He helped me achieve a much better quality of life in diagnosing my Chron's Disease and in helping me deal with it. Honestly, he is one of a small group of doctors who I have encountered in my life who are life enhancers. His level of compassion and understanding is so appreciated, especially since I have recently moved away from North Carolina and am experiencing a very different medical culture.

I cannot speak highly enough of the many doctors, triage, nurses, PAs and the nurse practitioners that worked with my husband while he fought esophagus cancer. From Dr McKimmie very swiftly diagnosing and getting my husband fast tracked into oncology to meeting Doctors Sweeney and Jones were most frequently in the emergency room to do procedures so that my husband could swallow liquids. Both of these doctors figured out a method of maintaining my husband’s throat dilation so that he could eat. From inpatient care to the multiple dilations I believe my husband had the best care. Having a triage nurse to speak to was a huge comfort. I wouldn’t think to go to any other practice.

Doctor saved my life. During a time when it was difficult to find the cause of my abdominal swelling. Doctor Holmes would not stop until he found the source. The Best Doctor the GAP has on staff!

My family has been going to Dr. Murphy for years, and we all like him very much. Very attentive and kind individual.

Don’t bother calling the emergency after hours doctor. They will not call you back. After a fourth call and a day in the ER, we finally got a call 8 hours after our original call. Dr. Patwa was on call yesterday, was at the same hospital we were while receiving our calls and neglected her responsibilities. During the call (eight hours after our emergency call), she was rude, said there was nothing wrong with my family member, and said we didn’t need to go to the hospital for severe pain associated with pancreatitis and an underlying chronic condition which exacerbates the pancreatitis. She had not looked at my family member’s chart to know anything about their situation before making erroneous assumptions. We will be speaking with the office manager this morning about her irresponsible and unprofessional behavior.

3 separate times within a one week period that I have called to schedule new appointment. Someone answers quickly after response to automated system and then puts me on hold [to get me with a "scheduler"] for +20-30 min waits with no pickup to answer or no REAL response/excuse after I hang up and call again for answers AND attempt to schedule. I was even referred by 2 existing clients. I will NOW be taking my $ and my "business" else where after 3 attempts with NO success.

I wish I could give 2 separate star ratings. For the billing practices 0 stars for the care and services 5. The staff was wonderful. Dr Connelly was great. However, when I had colonoscopy everything in billing was transparent and in one bill which is great. My endoscopy however, the estimate to the actual billing, SHADY! I was charged two "facility fees" for one procedure so my estimate was doubled. Billing said 2 procedures were performed hence 2 fees. I know double talk bull when I hear it. Not to mention for whatever reason this time I was charged separately for anesthesia and never received bill until I got collections call. My insurance paid this without question. I find that troublesome. I will be finding another place that won't pad their pockets for my upcoming colonoscopy. If one such place exists.

Yes the staff is great. The doctors are amazing but there is one that stands out there. A TRUE Florence nightingale. One that has their heart in the passion they went to school for. One that took their oath to help the sick and assure them things will be okay. One true Florence nightingale and they are soooooo rare. This nightingale isn’t a doctor, they are a nurse…… we, the people know one when we see one..Thank you
