My boyfriend and I began designing our engagement rings in August. Gracey told us the process would take about four to six weeks. During that entire time, she repeatedly told us everything was fine and on schedule. What we later learned was that the jeweler had informed her multiple times that the ring we designed could not be made as planned, and she chose not to tell us.
We spent months believing everything was progressing normally because that is what she said. It was not until a week before my boyfriend was supposed to propose that he directly asked if everything was still okay, and only then did Gracey finally admit that the ring was not going to be ready and could not be made. Her last-minute solution was to offer us a plain gold band.
She also misrepresented the situation to her managers, claiming she had been in regular communication with us about everything. In reality, my boyfriend only received one text message from her the entire time and had to physically visit the store week after week for updates. Which she told him everything was fine and progressing normally. We both even visited the store two weeks prior to this where she still told us everything was fine and did not raise any concerns to us.
When we spoke with the head manager, Brandon, instead of addressing the situation or holding anyone accountable, he told us his priority was to protect his employees. His response was dismissive and unhelpful.
Eventually, Helzberg sold me a ring from their showcase that kind of looked like the one I had chosen, but it was not the custom ring I was promised or paid for. While I technically ended up with a ring, it came at the cost of months of unknown deception, stress, and poor communication.
To make matters worse, the day I had to return to the store to pick a new setting, a visit that would not have been necessary if the process had been handled honestly, I was rear-ended in a car accident and suffered a back injury. That day only happened because of their repeated mistakes and dishonesty.
Every part of this experience was unprofessional and mishandled from start to finish. The way we were treated, spoken to, and disregarded was unacceptable. Every time someone asks me where my ring is from, I will tell them the truth: Helzberg Diamonds, and do not go there.

My husband dropped my wedding rings off today and my band looks worse than when we brought it in. We paid extra for the warranty and get them serviced every 6months. We recently moved from out of state and this helzberg location was disappointing and overall a bad experience.
