im definitely through with this bank. i had a couple of weeks ago i made an online purchase with Academy sports. it was $5 and that prompted the security department to flag the card as stolen. i received a text while at work about the transaction. by the time i got home i forgot to call them. Well, the next day i go to get gas and my card doesn't work. i call immediately and i tell them that my card hasn't been stolen and that no fraud had been committed. they reactivate my account and for the next week or so everything is fine and I am able to make purchases. well yesterday i go to take my son for pizza and my card is suddenly declined. So i call the bank and they tell me there is a security issue. they transfer me to security and the tell me the bank closed my account and that it was the banks doing and not the security dept. i told them that the bank transferred me over to their dept because their was a security issue with my card. i explained to them that i already spoke with their department over a week ago about the "fraud" issue. they tell me they can't help me and to call the bank again. i call the banks customer service dept again and the tell me that the account wasn't actually closed but the card was deactivated and i can no longer use it. I am now stuck with no money this weekend and it's very frustrating because i spoke with security and explained to them that i made the $5 academy sports purchase and that my card was not stolen. they should have never deactivated my acct after i cleared everything up with them. why was i able to use my card after that for a week and they decided to all of a sudden deactivate it anyway? It makes no sense. horrible customer service, the bank is blaming the security dept and the security dept is blaming the bank. Ridiculous!

This is happening 09/02023 around 3:10 pm. I tempted to book a room using my Piedmont credit credit card. Within just a few minutes I was contacted by phone with people telling me they wanted to verify my $388 purchase. Then called customer service and got patched over to the fraud department and my actual troubles begin. The question simply was what flagged the purchase. Email and the fraud department could not tell me why at all. After not being able to explain to herself she got very sarcastic. After accepting her offer to speak to a supervisor she sarcastically said it's going to be a long time they are very busy sarcastically again. Is way below the old Piedmont aviation standard and of course I'm looking at other cards. It's sad for them that fraud customer service has fallen way below zero. Beware.werverify my $388

The tellers are supper friendly and helping, but the people above them are rude and act as if you are a chore to deal with even with the simplest task. The people in customer service talk down to you like its a chore to manage YOUR funds when you call. The reps always refer you to a specialist because of their lack of knowledge or capabilities, or will refer you to self help with task that can't be completed with this option. The "specialist" are only available on their time. After a certain time of day, you get the bottom of the barrel CS reps that continue to refer you to "specialist" for task you need done right away. Got locked out of my account while on vacation, and didn't get a call back from "specialist" until the week after I was already back from vacation. The "specialist" that call you back have a talk down to you/condescending type of attitude towards you. I have had a bad experience each time if i have to get help beyond the tellers. I will never attempt to deal with PACU ever again.

I'm glad I won't have to deal with this CU. I wasnt fully heard when I ask for a loan application over the phone. As I was reading other people's comments here, they make you jump through unnecessary hoops that you don't need. I canceled my application right a away. Inefficient in getting back to new prospects

This was a an outstanding event. Greeted at the door with the great staff and President Dion was right there to meet and greet everyone. He made sure to meet each and every one who came in. We had a wonderful conversation with him. The refreshments were delicious and something for everyone. They made sure that you know how they appreciate us being members and we are so proud to be members of Piedmont Advantage. Love you All!

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Member Appreciation Day today while taking care of a few simple transactions. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful to us. Debi Conway went above-and-beyond our expectations to assist us, and we enjoyed meeting Dion Williams too. We are always impressed by PACU’s great customer service.

Unprofessional business banking. Scott Smith does not know what his is doing. It took a whole month to try to open a business account after years of being with them and waiting on their business banking to open up. I had to go through a whole three interviews and he came by my store to take pictures as if I was lying about having a store front. My store is in walking distance from the bank, all documents are correct and been in business long enough also in the right location, then a week later denied a business bank account. Never have I seen this much of a hassle to open a business account. They don’t do international business. I closed my personal account with them the same day. I don't recommending opening any business accounts with this bank for any business.

If you are familiar with the current used car market, you know you have to act fast when you find a good deal because if you snap your fingers it's gone.I found a 22 model Y Tesla for a great deal from private seller. I told the seller I would open an account at PACU and finance the car.Over the phone the phone, a PACU employee told me not to worry about opening an account till I was approved for the loan. Makes sense, so I apply for the loan. For four days I was emailing back and forth with them as they kept requesting more documents and had extremely slow response time. Meanwhile, I'm having to beg the seller not to sell to someone else.On friday at 4 pm the loan department now tells me I need to open an account before they will see if I can qualify for the loan. This is conflicting information from what I was first told and pushes everything back to Monday. The seller is ready to sell to someone else now, so I decide to drive over an hour to meet with them in person to finalize my application to be a member and my loan.To be a member you have to jump through crazy hoops more so than any other credit union I've seen. Finally, I meet with a loan officer named Perry. He asked me why I was so anxious to get this deal done today. HAH! I have been working on this deal for over a week getting drawn out by his department!I show him the messages from the seller who's losing his patience. Perry says to me that he has decided he will not lend to me because he doesnt understand why I am so rushed. ARE YOU KIDDING? I am rushed because you guys won't give me a straight answer.I ended up applying at Founders federal credit union, didnt have to jump through any hoops to become a member, and got an interest rate almost a whole percentage point lower.I am now the happy owner of a Model Y, no thanks to these guys.

Today I reached out to Piedmont Advantage Credit Union in an effort to start new membership. I submitted a credit card application online. A member of the PACU team "Andy" reached out to me. When I started to explain my current banking situation and my possible desire to switch financial institutions, refinance a car loan, and move my investment portfolio the representative became very rude and short with me. By the end of the call I made a decision that if they are unable to train their employees to provide a better customer experience then I will look elsewhere for an institution that can. I don't believe the customer is always right but I do believe a customer should be heard and all points should be taken into consideration. PER MY EXPERIENCE I DO NOT RECCOMED.

This bank is is a rip off. They started an saving account for my husband cause his car was financed thru them. Then we traded the car and left the saving there without adding to it. And these people hit him with high fees just cause he wasn't adding to it and they never send a bank statement each month to let him know. I will never trust these people for any service in banking. Bad business

This bank offers a good mortgage rate because you either qualify for the best rate or you're declined. At least, this was the case when we applied five years ago. The mortgage process felt a little like an interview in which they meet you in person to seemingly size you up and decide whether you're an upstanding citizen. Apparently we passed, but our friends had a different experience. Paying the mortgage has been a NIGHTMARE. Good news: they don't sell their loans. Bad news: because they don't sell their loans, they manage it themselves and use an antiquated process to do so. We have six mortgages in total and our primary mortgage is through Piedmont. We've considered moving in-town a couple of times and asked to have a prequalification letter to make an offer on a house. Twice, they refused to give us one because they "didn't believe that we were going to use it as a primary." Just about every year, either taxes or insurance rates increase which means that our monthly payment increases. Our other property lenders automatically increase the amount in auto-draft and life continues on without a hitch. Not so with Piedmont. They'll reject the auto-draft, sending it back and demand payment for the new amount. Keep in mind that now the payment is late, and in order to pay it and adjust the the auto-draft to the new amount, you have to physically go into the branch. Their online system won't allow the change. The bank employees are sympathetic because they've heard frustrated customer after frustrated customer beg them to create a usable system, yet they have no power to make such a change. If there's any chance that you'll move away from a branch before your mortgage is paid off, you'll likely be paying to fly back to a bank location every year to cancel and restart your auto-draft. It's not worth it.
