I had to involve the Police, with your Reynolda Rd store in Winston Salem. First, my Rx is filled every single month, but for years we have had to play games and I have had to call on refill day. If I do not call, even though they have the RX straight from my doctor, they won't fill it. So, this morning, I called to do that dance. They told me that they had filled my RX TWICE last month, within a day or two. Now, I am a disabled Veteran. This RX is for my ripped up back, and it is for [a controlled substance]. I cannot walk without it, but they said they filled it TWICE last month, which would be a FELONY if they did that. I told the person on the phone that I truly hoped she was mistaken, because if what she just said was true, they are in BIG trouble. With that, she IMMEDIATELY tried to cover her own a*** by implicating ME! She said "well, it says here that you picked it up both times." THAT statement is the one that caused me to call and involve the Police. Whatever they screwed up...or whatever extra medication they sent out the door, there was NO WAY they were putting ANY of it off on me. I told her I was calling the Police, and she said she would call me back...and hung up in my ear. So I called the Police. After Walgreens never called me back, it was clear they were scrambling to figure out how to cover their own asses, so I called them. This time, a different girl answered the phone, and she was 10 times more rude than the first girl. She said "You callin tha police, go ahead and call 'em. Either you picked this up the second time, or you SENT someone to pick it up." Now, either one of THOSE explanations again implicates me in a felony, and either is just as bad for them as they either filled it twice and gave it to me twice...OR...filled it twice and the second time handed out a controlled substance to a 3rd party. Either way, I really don't care what THEY did...but this part where they tried to shut me up by threatening to include ME in this bullshit...oh...HELL NO! With that, I called the Police again and they agreed to meet me at the store. I pulled up at their drive through, I told them who I am, and I told them I would be sitting in front of the store waiting for the Police. I caused absolutely no ruckus, against all of my instincts. The Police have scarier crimes to solve, so I had to wait for TWO HOURS for them to arrive. WSPD Officer KR Welman arrived as soon as she could, and together we went into the store. At this point, an extremely fat young lady named "ZOE" shouted (and I mean SHOUTED) "Here come da Police and the CRAZY MAN wit da [a controlled substance]." As I typed that in, just now, Corporal Wellman called me to remind me that this was not only rude and unprofessional, but also a SEVERE HPAA VIOLATION. And no, I am not just a guy claiming this. The Police Officer who accompanied me into and through that store was RIGHT THERE and heard it. It upset the Officer so that she just called ME to remind me that it was a HPAA violation. So, I asked everyone working in that pharmacy what the young lady's name was who just decided to call me crazy (for refusing to be implicated in a felony) and telling everyone in heh store what medication I was there to pick up. NONE OF THEM would cooperate. The Police Officer and I had to go to the FRONT of the store, in the end, and get her name from the front end cashier (Marie Rodriguez, very nice lady). So, the name of the employee who violated my ADA rights was ZOE WILLIAMS. In any case, Once confronted by the Police, everyone in that pharmacy's story changed. "Oh, yeah, uhh, err...we had a glitch in our system and that was the problem..." which I interrupted with "No, you accused me of a felony, THAT was the damned problem!" The Police Officer and I were simply AGHAST at the attitudes of all of these people. Not so much as one apology was delivered. In fact, immediately after admitting how wrong they were, they TOLD ME that they do not want MY business anymore (as if ANY of this s
