I'm a Wal-Mart shopper whenever I visit the south. I don't live in the state that I can frequently shop at Wal-Mart so when I can I get everything I need.

Firstly I left an item on the stall #26 & I have called the store at least 15 times since I left and no one answers. This is terrible. I asked the person did I get all the bags that assured me yes. Perhaps the next time I should pat down the bags on the stall to make sure all the items are picked up. But if they would just answer the phone that would at least be helpful!

Most modern Walmart I have seen with like 45 self checkouts. Pretty big store.

I purchased tires online thinking I was getting a good deal for the tire purchase as well as the installation….. I had an appointment to get my tires on 3 days after I purchased them online , on my way to my appointment I received an email stating that the tires we're delayed, so I would have to schedule an appointment at a later date… To make along story short, I set another appointment online for 6pm and received a confirmation of the appointment…. So I get to the store and the staff in the auto center tells me they now close at 6pm and not sure how I was able to make that appointment… The staff could care less about the situation and sent me on my way with 4 tires in my basket.. They didn’t offer any kind of solution or showed any remorse… Also, they charged me twice for my purchase (online)… So please be careful when paying online… This was a very very very bad experience!!! They never answer the phone and treat customers very bad… I will never shop at that specific location again or order anything online… However, the manger (Adam) was apologetic and showed a little empathy.. He seemed nice, I hate he has such an awful staff… Don’t shop here!!!! They will take your money and could care less about making the customer happy.. Shame on me for expecting anything more from Walmart Hanes Mill)….

Every time I go to the store on 320 E. Hanes Mill Rd. in Winston-Salem NC. I feel like the workers at checkout are harassing me. They tell me that I can only self check out if I have 15 items or less, but I see other people around me with FULL CARTS using self check out. The lines were very long with the cashiers (self checkouts empty) so I split my boyfriend and I’s cart in half and go self check out. The employee proceeded to say they were going to call the police for us splitting our cart in half even though we had 15 items or less each. She then picked at the items in our cart and froze the self checkout my boyfriend was using. Threatening to call the police? I was just trying to pay for their items. It is ridiculous to have a store full of self checkouts (EMPTY ONES TOO) and only 4 cashier lanes open if that is the policy. We finished checking out before the customer in front of us at the cashier did. Maybe instead of that employee harassing people, she should jump on a register.

First time at this Walmart as we were in the neighborhood. We usually go to the Kester Mill Rd Walmart.
This place was very clean and organized.
We only came in to get a standing lamp and my daughter wanted to check out some storage containers for food like flour, sugar, etc. We never went to the grocery side. I found what I needed and we went to the self checkout line. We didn't have to wait that long. We did go around 10am. After purchasing the lamp, we headed to the door. I showed my receipt to the lady, who was nice, close to the door. She did take a few minutes to look at my receipt and the box that had the lamp in. The parking wasn't packed at all. I enjoyed going to this Walmart than the one we usually go to.

I have Walmart Plus and any time this store is responsible for delivering my item, it doesn’t make it. This store is poorly run and needs better management

Absolutely worst experiences ever they are rude, unprofessional employees and customer care they have no regard to your rights, they will insult you and openly and falsely accuse you and even go as far as harassing you outside the store

I have a story to tell you. I scheduled a tire installation at 320 E Hanes Mill Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The app told me to schedule and appointment so I did for 2/18/25 at 5pm. I showed up for my appointment And the front desk person said I'm sorry we can't do this. There is only 2 technicians and it's 5pm. We close at 6 so we are refusing to install the tires today. She said you can come back tomorrow and I said so if I show up at 4pm are you going to turn me away AGAIN because you close at 6? Her response was you need to come before 3pm because they start winding down at 3pm. The shop closes at 6pm. The lady said they turn people down a lot and have to reschedule. I'm sorry but that is absolutely unacceptable customer service. I asked for my tires and now have to plan to hire someone else to install the tires. She told me another Walmart might not turn me away at 4pm but they would because it's too late. Are you serious right now? That needs to change and is very inconsiderate. There was no other cars in sight and 2 technicians were on clock until 6pm but refusing to work past 3pm.

This has got to be the worst walmart in the state of North Carolina. Not only do they have self checkout issues ( just read the other comments), but overall their entire store reeks of unprofessionalism and individuals who are not qualified to even open up a grocery bag. Trying to call and to check on medications, tire repairs ect forget about it. No one will ever answer your phone call even if you attempt to contact the operator. Corporate needs to seriously review and restructure the entire store. Poorly run poorly operated. The only decent thing about this store, is the fact I get the watch arguments between employees as a form of entertainment.
