Good place to shop and grab a few things if you're just starting out on your own. My other favorite place to shop.

Nice thrift store I tried to come on Fridays because it's half off clothing. Parking is a little small and sometimes you have to wait in line interesting selection of items Furnitures a little high price though

This Thrift Store is awesome! There's a variety of items to shop, including clothing for men, women, children... there are home goods, kitchen supplies, appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators), electronics, artwork, and tons and tons of furniture (beds, desks, tables, chairs, sofas, recliners, etc). Lots of friendly faces, and a Dock out back to drop off donations. Truly a great space downtown for good shopping, AND all the proceeds help the Rescue Mission provide help to the community. We have purchased 2 recliners, a HUGE dog plush (a dog 6-feet by 3-feet that my daughter loves to lie on), and a TV and TV-stand. All are great.

I scheduled a pickup for all these clothes. All in great conditions or new. I waited an entire day, not a courtesy call. I called and left a voicemail, no return call. I sent an email an no response. I guess I will look for another place to donate.

This IS my favorite thrift store! OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS... ahhh hello inflation everywhere you spend! Next to nothing is cheaper today than it was yesterday anywhere. The prices here are for people smart enough to save! Nearly everything is at least 50% cheaper than retail and SO MANY items way over 50% savings. Clothing is ridiculously cheap, a dress for $3.75 and half off on Friday and Saturday whaaaat. Jeans are $4 and plenty tee shirts are 50 cents! That's amazing! CDs are $1. A BAG of books $2!! C'mon coffee mugs are seriously 25 cents, I could go on and on. THIS PLACE IS SOOO AFFORDABLE! Not only are the pricers happy to help customers save, they have the NON-PROFIT mind-set. Every single dollar this store makes goes directly to help men gain the tools required to become productive members of society! Surly I'm not against HELPING locals be awesome while saving myself money! It costs money to help people. It costs more money to help people today than it did yesterday. THANK YOU WINSTON SALEM RESCUE MISSION you've got it all together!!

Dishonest and unhelpful. I found a packaged sheet in the linens section, right under the sign that said ALL sheets, $3. When I got up front, they refused to sell it to me and claimed it had to be priced individually, which they refused to do. They practically accused me of removing the price tag (there wasn't one). I don't understand why they would turn away a willing buyer.

Much larger building than anticipated, and found that they offer first responders a discount on Tuesdays!

This used to be my favorite thrift store but over the last few years the pricing has gotten beyond ridiculous.Whoever is pricing needs to get it together.

I have been going to the Rescue Mission Thrift Store since I moved here in 1993 IAM a CNA and I had a very sweet lady and she told me and ever since I been going. The people are really nice and they are helpful and the price is great.

I did like this thrift store. It is a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. They have a great book deal, a whole bag for $2. They also have large plastic bins of games and puzzles that they were only charging $2-$3 for the whole bin. All the prices are very reasonable. They have quite a bit of furniture. I only gave it four starts because there wasn’t much for clothing, at least nothing that I was looking for.
