The biggest problem with this business is that the service here is terrible. I believe that it is a training issue. The management needs to do a better job overall. It's a great spot and could be so much better. If you're going to go there, make sure you put on your "patience" pants...

This was a first visit for me. The food - especially the smash burgers were highly recommended. The hostess was pleasant and seated us quickly. They were not busy, it was early. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with tater tots. The tots were crispy and hot. The burger was amazing. Seriously, one of the best burgers I have ever eaten- hats off to the cook. Will, our server was also attentive and polite. Honestly, I was super glad the food was really good as the reports. But, the first thing I noticed as we walked to our table was a bucket and a sign in the middle of the floor. Looking up - there was a huge ceiling tile missing. I went to a unisex bathroom right off the dining room to wash my hands and the toilet paper holder- a huge plastic covered one - was half ripped off the wall with a big roll of paper propped on a hand rail. Note to management: A little maintenance goes a long way. It's listed as a sports bar & maybe the local frats wouldn't care, but the rest of us might.

Stopped in to watch Ohio state vs Michigan game, we are from Ohio. Everything was fantastic from Luke the bartender to every dish we ordered. Had the fried green tomatoes, arugula salad and the bourbon mushroom burger. One of the best dining experiences on the road we’ve had on a while. Thank you village porch! If we are out this way again, we’ll definitely be back.

Been a while since I have been there. Got the livers my lunch date got a hamburger and stake Fry's. Very filling meal. Lower lot parking. Parking at the top. Have not gotten anything so far there I did not like. Large menu with meals or sandwiches. Lots of sides. Appetizers. A bar. Place you can take family or friends.

Love this place. Easy, friendly, convenient, always plenty of parking and plenty of tables inside and out. I've had consistently great food (I like the cobb salad and the arugula salad with salmon added.) Good beers on tap. The service has been friendly. The atmosphere is suitable whether you want to watch sports or socialize or just read a book. I look at some of the whiny reviews from hard-to-please people and wonder what they expect from a neighborhood pub. My experience here has always been great.

My husband, son, and I were traveling through North Carolina this weekend when we stopped in here. We got Grace as our server. She was super attentive and friendly, really made us feel at home and cared for. While my husband was at the bar he was cared for by a bartender named Luke. He was professional and courteous, and he really brightened the mood. I’m so grateful we happened upon this restaurant. It was wonderful! If you’re thinking of trying it, please do!!

My rating is based off of two visits. The first visit was amazing and the second visit was terrible. During my first visit, which was about 4 months ago, the experience was spectacular. They had all of the games on you could hope to watch, the food was amazing and the service was even better. I got the Rodeo Burger and I honestly think it was one of the best burgers in Asheville. 5/5 stars. My second visit was a different story. This was a couple of days ago. To start, the waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and that us being there was an extreme inconvenience to her. She never brought us a refill and only came back after we got our food to give us the check. She hung out in the bar cutting up with her work friends the rest of the time. The food was a similarly bad experience. I decided to go with the Rodeo Burger again hoping for a repeat experience. Didn't happen. The bacon was black, and the patties and cheese were hard, much like when you microwave something for too long. This time my experience was a 0/5. Being that I had two drastically different experiences, I didn't feel it was fair to only base the rating on one go, so I met in the middle of the two. I hope they can get back to the beauty and magic of that first experience. I have yet to decide if I want to try it again.

The food and service was fine. Was only disappointed in the espresso martini which is pretty simple to make with simple ingredients. Requested it be sweeter and the bartender added Bailey's instead of simple syrup which completely ruined it. Nice eating outdoors on a cool fall evening. I'd try it again but probably just stick to a cosmo which was pretty good.

This is a fantastic neighborhood bar with good food. I've had really nice salad (available in side or dinner size portions), sandwiches and sides. I love sitting on the porch. The servers here are friendly and attentive.

I am here right now with 5 friends! I ordered a Philly chicken sandwich. The bread was cold with exactly 3 pieces of chicken. Horrible!!!!

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere while sitting outside during a spectacular day. The local draft beers were a hit. Loved the crispy Brussel sprouts and Tater Tots. Absolutely delicious wings with the boom boom sauce. Highly recommend this place. .

We were traveling in the Asheville area looking for a local place to eat with a cold brew and came across this place. Thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic lunch with local, cold craft beers and exceptional food. The atmosphere at the Village Porch was very enjoyable and a cool place to hang. Appetizers were very good, try the fried green tomatoes and the Gaelic Ale.
