Would give negative stars if possible. Long story short I dropped off my vehicle, motor, and transmission. I Wanted him to go through my motor and transmission then install in vehicle. I’ve done little odd jobs with him before so I had confidence he would get this done so I paid him in advance like he requested. That was back in September 2022 many back and forth, missed phone calls, surprise visits, and many excuses on why work isn’t done. Promising to get it done in a week in a month, before winter, etc. He told me I needed a new motor and that he had donor motors in his yard. I agreed and even picked out a donor vehicle with the motor. Once again he dragged his feet never showing me any proof that he was working on this “new motor” he even told me it was in cooperstown. And not at his shop. I pulled my vehicle from him in November of 2024 but he didn’t load up my motor and transmission that I had originally brought him. Tried to get them back but he’d have excuses or wouldn’t answer me. Our main contact point was Facebook but he blocked me and erased his side of the messages luckily I was able to retrieve them. I ended up doing a police report and even took him to small claims court. Out 2 years, a motor and transmission, and $2,000. Be careful doing work with him. He comes off as nice and is very knowledgeable but be weary. Funny thing about it is that he would blame bad service for not being able to contact me back or answer me but when I needed a different part for a different vehicle he had zero issues in messaging back and forth so long as he made a deal and got more money. No business should conduct themselves as poorly and as deceitful as Paul Austin (owner of dreamland customs). Save your money and go somewhere else

Bought and paid for a truck, including delivery and his travel cost home. Promised to deliver a legally tagged good to go truck. I asked my sister and brother in law to get involved since I live out of state, and he apparently smelled money and tried to squeeze them for an extra $1400. I told my sister to get a parts list and a copy of all the receipts if he did indeed spend money on the truck. All of a sudden he decides he's selling the truck out from underneath me and going to send me a check for the proceeds. That was 7 months ago. I have yet to see the money or the truck. Have known him since I was a teenager and never thought this would have happened. He blocked me on Facebook, which in turn deleted his half of all of our messenger conversations. Pretty upright behavior for a stand up guy I tell you. That's ok, I already had them downloaded. I don't recommend doing business with him. If he would do this to me and I've known him since I was in high school, and that's been a hot minute, then he'll do this to anybody. Stay far far away.
