They could afford to maintain their buildings more preemptively, to prevent damage to stored property. The door seal on my unit was allowed to get so destroyed by the elements, that water leaked in, wicking up the lumber buffer I had on the floor and damaging the contents of the boxes on top. My advice, if you insist on going with the cheapest storage company, make sure you get insurance for your belongings that may get damaged. I paid $1,960 over 28 months to these cheap peo

The door seal on my unit was allowed to get so destroyed by the elements that water leaked in, wicking up the lumber buffer I had on the floor and damaging the contents of the boxes on top. Other renters I had talked to reported similar lack of maintenance. They could afford to maintain their buildings more preemptively, to prevent damage to stored property. My advice, if you insist on going with the cheapest storage company, make sure you get insurance for belongings that may get damaged. I paid $1,960 over 28 months to these cheap people, and they refused to help cover damage that an insurance company would have definitely held them liable for, had this first time storage customer learned to buy insurance before then. When asking if Harvey would help out, I chuckled at his refusal, and he said he should evict me for laughing at him. I doubt that his petulant threat was legal. I was never delinquent, but they like to charge your account anywhere from the first of the month to the ninth of the month. I never knew when it was coming out of my account! So, I highly recommend finding the next price up from Denny's, renting from them instead, and buying insurance.
