“Their BEEF JERKY marked "Original" is My Family and my absolute favorite beef jerky on the planet! I'm 37 now and have been eating it since 1986-1988, since 88' or earlier. It was "Don's Quality Meats" originally. My mom had to get her Kirby vacuum cleaner repaired and the Kirby shop was next door that's how we found D.Q.M'.s.My estranged oldest brother who was a grown up&lived elsewhere that we rarely get to see, would appear Christmas morning every year with D.Q.M.'s Jerky wrapped in the funny papers or shiny like chrome... aluminum foil! As kids we loved that and banked on him coming bearing gifts of jerky.It has been a very special part of my life until 2012 when it disappeared,(then called "Shawn's Quality Meats" a different place and guy but same recipe) Miraculously three years ago Mom's Church ate breakfast at Gloria's restaurant and bar in Maple valley next to the cop shop/Hwy. 18-MV exit. Two doors over is MV Meats. She bought their jerky for us for Christmas knowing that each year it's going to be a disappointment because our jerky has been gone for years and then Christmas morning we open the jerky and received a miracle(an actual Christmas Miracle) ( Because Our Jerky had literally been extinct for half a decade already but we were still struggling to accept the loss, I'm very serious!)We're from Black Diamond /Lake Sawyer area and had no idea the fairly new Maple Valley Meats we've seen it, haven't been there yet. So I went there to figure out if the jerky was related some way to the real deal when inside I see Don... The Original guy from the Original Kent shop in the 80's! I shook his hand like a man, not a god. Told him this story and thanked him and bought some jerky!!!Our special jerky again!”
