The location is very convenient to Theodore Roosevelt NP and Sully Creek State Park. However, after seeing the campsites at the State Park, I would camp there next time rather than at Boots. The owners make it clear there are no staff on site, and no services. They could help visitors by CLEARLY marking the locations of the sites. The park map deceptively makes sites 2-6 look like pull through sites, but the slope in the back of those sites is not navigable. We had Site 1, which happened to be the closest to the road, wedged between one of the cabins and a steep slope down from the driveway. Leveling the rig was very difficult, and we had to park too far from the sewer to dump without backing the rig up into unlevel territory. Thankfully no one was renting the cabin while we were camping in their lap. I’m sure this park can grow to be a desirable place to stay, but some of the basic requirements for RVs are not currently being met. I can be happy without bathrooms or a picnic table, but the sites should be easily accessible, well marked and LEVEL.

Location was perfect. Perfect spot for a stop for the night. Online booking & check in. Not a vacation spot: no office, showers, picnic tables, etc. But the view is beautiful! Oh! And 6 minutes to a dog park 👍

Oh my goodness! This is parking on a road! We are literally sitting on gravel, 3 feet from a cabin. Too short of a spot for our truck and 37' RV. No picnic tables. Zero amenities. No place to sit outside unless you put your chairs in the road. Every time a car goes by on the road you hear the rattle of a cattle guard.
We can say the views are amazing and the proximity to Medora is excellent

We stayed here for 2 nights on a visit to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Check in was completed online so there wasn’t really staff to deal with. Online instructions were very clear. Gravel sites are a little close together. The views from this campground are fantastic and its proximity to Medora and the park are really the appeal. A great spot to use as your base when visiting the area.
Nearby activities: Definitely go to the Medora Musical and the Pitchfork Fondue.

Location is close to town and does have nice views. Our site was very unlevel. We had on side of the trailer tires up on two boards and were leaning. WiFi is spotty. Office is not always available since must communicate via email or leave messages.

Great place to stay if you're in town for a few nights. Would recommend for the view alone. Everything is done online. Easy to get to and the views are fantastic. I think this is a better value then most KOAs.

Honestly, I have stayed in almost all the KOA and never gave a 5 star, but this place was great. Drove in and thought WTH , no staff or amenities but close to town, clean and beautiful location. A little tight but better than the KOA that stack trailers on top of each other .

Basically a gravel campsite crammed in no facilities or staff. Only upside is full hook ups. Convenient to TRNP

I didn't end up staying here but am writing a review because when our RV broke down the day we were supposed to arrive there, they were kind enough to give us a full refund. I didn't expect it, but sure appreciated it.,

Arrived without reservations so used web site upon arrival. Easy to navigate through process.
Sites say 2 thru say 8 are very tight placement of some electrical boxes seem very out of place as they favor the front end of the pad rather than the rear where typically expect it to be located. You may need a longer cord if you do not plan accordingly as I needed an extra 10 feet to reach the box in site 5 with a 30"+ camper.
Place is very well maintained and clean.
Keep in mind there no staff on site. In addition, there are no picnic tables, firepits, showers or restrooms.
That however was not a problem for us.
Location is great just south of town a country mile.
We would definitely stay again if in the area.
