We had a great experience at Captial RV Center in Minot. We weren't even sure we were ready to buy so we stopped by multiple times and spent a lot of time in several units. Our sales person, Zach, was never pushy, let us look on our own, but was always available for questions. If he didn't know the answer, he did the research to find it. When we purchased, he even offered to help trim some trees so we could store it where we wanted to! Michelle explained financing options, Shawn went through the unit bumper to bumper, and all the staff were kind and welcoming. Thanks for a great experience!

Great experience! Friendly, knowledgeable people, a very fair deal, and they made it an enjoyable purchasing experience. New RV orientation by the Service Department was excellent. Would recommend them to family and friends.

Buy a brand new camper that has damage done on the inside from the booth being built wrong. Tell me it’s all under warranty and bring it in the end of camping so we don’t have to make several extra trips and miss any camping weekends. Awesome! Just for them to ignore my phone calls for multiple years (spring and fall, we live 2 hours away and camp in the middle). We’ve now decided forget it and just took care of the problem best we could so no more damage happens. Today 10/9/23 I get a phone call demanding we bring our camper there in the next two weeks to have the work done now because it’s not in warranty anymore and they are eating cost of everything out of their pocket.Um excuse you?! I tried several times and you wouldn’t return my phone calls. It is your fault that you would have to eat the parts and labor. I will never do business there again. We have also had multiple other issues that would of been warranty but they make a bunch of excuses and don’t answer, so now we get to live with it. If I lived in Minot, this would of been a whole different story because I would of just shown up with my camper in 2020 when we bought it.

Purchased $100k camper a year and a half ago. In that time the camper has been in for warranty work more times than it has been use. Instead of fixing the camper correctly, they add tubes of silicone everywhere. And the problem is still not fixed. After taking it in roughly 12 times. They said they cannot help me out. No joke. Customer service is horrible, I would not recommend anyone to do business with them. They have no problem taking your money, but when it comes time for them to fix an issue, good luck.

I had originally not planned on making a purchase from Capitol RV due to past experience. I took a leap of faith and sent in an internet information request and was contacted the next morning by a sales person named Randi. She informed me the camper I was looking had a sale pending so she would have to transfer my information to a rep in Bismarck. Due to lack of encouragement by that rep, I reached back out to Randi to see if the deal went thru or not. She informed me it had not and the unit I was interested in was in fact available. My first concern was the shower size and the kitchen cabinet height. I am 6'3 and 285 pounds, and my wife is only 5'3 and has difficulty reaching into todays cabinets. I asked Randi to send me some pictures of the shower space with a tall person standing inside to see the height, and if she was able to find someone around the height of my wife so I could make sure the cabinet height would work. The reason for the request is the dealership is 120 miles from my hone and if these issues could not be overcome, the camper would not work for us. Randi sent 20 pictures from all kind of angles as requested, and we made the trip to Minot. Randi was at the front desk waiting for us, on her day off, gave us the camper tour, and sold us the camper. I scheduled my delivery the next week and again it was on Randi's day off. She met me and was a cheerful professional. We just completed our first week of camping in the new camper and for the first time ever I was able to use the shower inside the camper. Wed are thrilled with our choice and have sent a friend to Randi, that she sold as well. Thank you for your work and professionalism in making this camper decision easier. This is not our first camper purchased from a dealer, although it was the best experience. I would highly recommend the Minot Capitol RV dealership.

If I could leave MORE than 5 stars I would! From Jessie in Sales to Crystal & Michelle in Finance, Sidney, Chris, & Elliot in Service and of course Don, Daisy, & crew in Parts, this entire team is TOP QUALITY, GRADE A! Each and every one of them was patient, informative, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. Jessie is an expert who listened to our needs and found something no amount of self-shopping could have turned up. Crystal & Michelle were extremely patient answering my questions and made the process a breeze. Sidney, Chris, & Elliot in Service were so down to earth and provided the knowledge and insight I was looking for. The power trio in Parts was so much fun to talk with and I was so grateful for the attentive and laid-back spirit they had. Cannot recommend Capital RV of Minot highly enough, thank you ALL for everything and you have definitely earned yourself my business for years to come.

We are full time RVer so a reliable place is a must for us. We had a minor accident on the road and called on Capital RV to do the repairs. Came to our campsite to assess damage. Gave us a quote and were great. Got us in on time and the repairs were done. Then we had trouble with our fridge later that week. They got us it that day. Excellent people! Excellent work! According to my husband this place for repairs is like having a NASCAR crew!!

I worked here. I was a technician in the back. I would say that there are people here that are genuine and they are in all departments, then there are people who are friendly and kind on the outside but they are rotten to the core.I have seen the practices corporate enables the GMs, the sales, and service to practice. We've been convinced as consumers that lying is normal to endure from businesses but it is not. It is greed and evil. Often you as the consumer will be lied to about the condition of your camper when purchasing. To the detriment of your wallet varying from hundreds to thousands of dollars.I have watched sales men manipulate vulnerable customers into 'perks' these campers supposedly have only to find out after purchase they never had them. A used camper may have a couple thousand dollars of water damage and sales would instruct us to not repair and not report.Thankfully there are technicians who will not stand for it and will tell the truth.Unfortunately there are people that have been working under the abusive behaviours of the company that roll over. They lie to themselves but its the consumer that pays.I wanted a camper so badly but knew so little about them before I became a mechanic. I see that I likely would have been a victim of their predatory sales practices also. Not to mention the show room looks great, but the shops budget consists of jerry rigged tools, underpaid professionals, and not to regulation equipment or conditions.I quit on the spot one day because a war veteran and a friend wanted to buy a camper. He was promised it that weekend but the camper was a wreck. There was no way he was getting a good deal and full repairs by the sales promised time. They try to rush you to take these campers so you dont see whats wrong with them ! And we as technicians are coerced into keeping our mouths shut.Thank God for Bill for standing up to the sales department for that man. I felt so empty and taken advantage of from my experiences as a worker there, that day I knew I had to leave the abuse even though I sincerely loved the people I worked with.I encourage my coworkers to stop letting yourselves get taken advantage of. You are all worth 30 dollars an hour in work. Considering labor rates are 160 plus an hour! And stop fearing the tantrums of our GMs and our service manager! They are abusers and manipulators but they are that way because they are weak.To the people who drink themselves to sleep at night, look at yourselves! You sold your soul to the camper industry. You will never be happy no matter how good you are at pretending.Consumers, protect yourself. There are predators everywhere, do not be lazy. Do your research.Sarah

I thoroughly enjoyed my first camper purchasing experience! Daryn my salesman was awesome, showed me only what I was interested in and never felt pressured. Krystal was great through the financing side as well! She was very friendly! Bill and Carey with the service department were also excellent, they were both very thorough in the inspection process and the walk through explaining all the features and showing how to use. Also they were very straight forward and weren't trying to feed b.s. Isiah in the parts department was great as well and he was very helpful even if he didn't know the answer to a question he wasn't afraid to find out. And Mike as well went above and beyond when I had questions about the hitch helping by mounting my ball for me! I will certainly be going back for an upgrade when I get to that point!Overall fantastic experience from the start, even the women at the front desk were amazing with kids as well!

Had great experience with Capital RV of Minot. This is our second time buying with them. We purchased an ice house 6 years ago from Wayne, who sadly has passed. We used this ice house year round for ice fishing and camping. The past couple of winters have made it difficult for us old folks to get out on the ice. We decided to trade it in for a camper. Jesse was our salesman and he showed us just what we were looking for. There w as d never any pressure to get anything or didn't want. We got an excellent trade in amount. Michelle in financing took care of all the paperwork and made us feel like we were the only customers in the place. Trust me, they were very busy! I recommend Capital RV of Minot for buying and servicing any issues you may have! Many thanks to everyone from the sweet receptionist to the sales folks to the service department!

My husband & I went to Capital RV to look for a camper for our family. Everything was great up until the day of purchase. Our sales rep, Zach, was friendly and outgoing up until that day. We came and looked at a camper, then left town for a week, which we told him multiple times. Also, on the first day, they gave us some papers with different campers to look at. I noticed my name spelt wrong, and told him. Fast forward to day of purchase, still have my name wrong on paperwork and on the registration card inside the camper. Zach reached out to me 2-3 times before day of purchase, asking if we could come in to sign paperwork. I told him, yet again, that we were out of town and physically could not. We were set to fly back on the 1st of the month. We sit down with Krystal, the finance gal, to sign paperwork. As we are signing, I notice that all the paperwork is dated for the 31st. I stated that “Today is not the 31st, it’s the 1st.” She had to go through and reprint ALL of the paperwork, and stated Zach asked her to put the 31st on the paperwork so he could get a bonus for that month. That was a 1000% turnoff for me and my husband. Had we been there the 31st to sign the paperwork that would have been just fine. Again, he was completely aware that we would not be back in town to sign paperwork until the 1st. We get the paperwork situation straightened out and finish signing everything. Krystal goes to get Zach, so he can walk us back to the camper in the service department. As soon as Zach entered the room, he was no longer the “fun and outgoing” person he was the week before. He was clearly irritated after Krystal told him she had to reprint the paperwork with a different date. We get back to the service department before our walk through and never see Zach again throughout the rest of our buying experience. Sarah, in the service department, was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! She answered all our questions, was super friendly and informative. 5 stars go out to her!! After our walkthrough, I expected to see Zach again to check to make sure we were satisfied with the camper. We did not. I felt that was very unprofessional considering he was our sales rep for the camper. I hope he can get some better training on better customer service. Because of his actions, it just seemed to me he was more concerned about a bonus check than he was actually about making sure his customers were happy with their purchase.

Our camper was damaged in a huge wind storm July 2022. We got it in to Capital RV and they went above and beyond in fixing it. They didn’t just patch the hole in the roof, they replaced the entire roof along with all the other fixes. New window, new decals etc. Looks fantastic and even better customer service.
