“As a lot of people here have mentioned, Tom may or may not be nice to you, may or may not allow you to look around, may or may not allow you to purchase something, may or may not kick you out, may or may not make a rude remark, may or may not allow you to actually talk to him about all of his wonderful items, experiences, and collecting tales. If you are wise enough to know when you should leave and come back a few days later, you likely will eventually be offered a Dr. Pepper and a chair outside to start your negotiations on purchases. Have patience, this is a good man with many flaws, just like almost every person on the planet. Remember, he owns the items and has the right to sell them for whatever he wants. May I suggest the first few visits you simply drop a list of items that you are looking for and come back a few days later, his preferred method of operation. I like Tom, his store, and being around him (most days).”
