Horrible horrible horrible.I booked one SUV from Minot to Chicago but unfortunately it was returned back to Minot rather than one way.The lady in the front said she will not help me or give car because she thinks I will not return car back to Minot.She said she has right to refuse service. Although, I didn’t see that sign anywhere which says they reserve the right to refuse.But anyways, When I asked for her name she refused to give me that. She also refused to give me corporate number, she said I can get online.Super rude, full of attitude very bad customer service.I said I will be loosing money and you screwed up my whole plan.Which she doesn’t care before she think she has authority over me.Also, When I was trying to make phone call to 800 number they were looking at me laughing, giggling and making fun.I don’t know how these people get hired.

I had car reserved from 24 July to 25 July . I went to national to pick the car and also to put my corporate number in, which I wasn't able to when I booked. I found out instead of one way my car needs to be returned back to the same location. Then I asked the front desk lady to extend my reservation so I can drive back the car. She refused to do so and told me she has right to refuse service. She said she is afraid that I will not return the car back. She is not going to give me the car I booked just because she thinks I will not return back. Have I done it before no. Just because she think: Now I am thinking why does she think that way is it because I look different or it's just situation.I asked her for her name she said she doesn't need to give me her name. I asked for corporate number one which she replied you can get online. I asked for supervisor, she said they don't have one. And I can call corporate and complain.

Got the old Bait and Switch. Will NEVER rent from National Again!Beware. They tell you one thing and do another.Also, there are several owned by the same company. So do your research and NEVER get a car from any of them. Time for new blood in the car rental industry!

Josh was great! He had everything lined up and ready for me...even gave me my choice of two upgraded vehicles. We had a nice trip and easy return to the drop box (returned before opening).

Great vehicle. ready to go when I got there. Reason its not 5 stars is because I needed to change my rental agreement part way through my trip; at first National told me this was possible but then when we tried to do it, they told me their system didn't allow that sort of change. This caused a loss of business on my part which was EXTREMELY frustrating.

After waiting for 20 minute for one customer who was complaining that they would not get the monthly rate bc they were returning the car early, with no apology from National Car Rental company whatsoever for my inordinately long wait, I was treated w disdain when I mentioned the wait and given a car w damage and paint defects, even though Inspection and Ready slip indicates that there was no damage. I did not have time to walk back and report this damage and wait again for John who was helping another customer. In addition, I've never been told about the Emerald Club - I had to ask about it, even though I also rented a car from National a month ago. Customer service: F-. (Damage pics avail.) I will avoid using National in the future and suggest you do the same.

Kiara and Kaitlyn are amazing! Service was very good. I arrived in Minot, ND on Thursday January 12th 2018 and had the pleasure of dealing with Kiara. She was so kind and friendly and her smile was lighting up the room. When she realized i was from North Carolina and did not have a coat she refused to let me walk all the way to the parking lot. She instead went and got the car for me and drove to the front door so i didn't have to be cold. I called to ask a million questions about a future rental a few days later and Kaitlyn was patient, kind and i could hear her smiling through her voice over the phone. I felt like i wasn't just a few bucks but a valued customer. I almost can't wait to come back and deal with these 2 again.

Absolutely horrible service. We went in this morning with a reservation and the 'lady' working was incredibly rude and unwilling to help. Even though we worked with her and supplied her with all the necessary identification she continued to be incredibly rude and the entire time made us feel as though we were a complete burden. We've always gone with Enterprise and after today we will definitely be sticking with them.

Flew into Minot for a funeral and rented through National. Flight was delayed out of Minneapolis and I called the front desk to let them know I would be late coming in and if anyone would be at the desk when I arrived? The answer was YES there will be someone there. Upon arrival to Minot there was NO ONE at the desk so we asked the Hertz guy if anyone had been there. "They left about a half hour ago" was the response. Hertz was all sold out of cars. 2 other National customers were standing at the counter with the same issue of renting and no representative was present. We all called the managers number listed on the card and no answer that night. I had to take an unplanned taxi to a hotel then wait on a family member to drive 3 hours at 1am to come get me so I could make the funeral at 10am the next day. Called and left a message with the manager and still have yet to receive a phone call. Horrible customer service and follow through. I rented through National for the price and as they say "you get what you pay for" ended up costing more in the end due to the extra costs and travel for a family member.

I inadvertently messed up my reservations and got a call at unexpected time asking when I was bringing my car back. I thought National had screwed up at the time. The Manager cleaned it all up. Then when I went to pick up my car (on the date I though I made the reservation), of course there was no record. The Manager helped his workers through the issue and got me a car anyway. Donnie Ayers is the Manager - he did a nice job.
