“On a recent visit to see my daughter, I had a check engine light come on between Devil's Lake and Minot. Knowing that she worked at the tire shop in Newtown, I wasn't too worried, I'd just ask one of the guys in the shop to clear the code and let me know what it said, once I'd gotten there. So, the following day, I did exactly that. I asked Scott, her boss, if he would clear it and let me know if I was safe to drive it back to Minnesota. After looking at my tires and telling me that the ones at my house should have gone on the car before the trip, he cleared the code off, told me the issue to relay to my mechanic at home and gave me the great news that I needed struts. In doing the work for the struts found one of the bolt heads stripped for the tie rod/sway bar and once the part was in and they could get the whole thing put back together, Scott discovered a slice through the back side of my CV shaft and that had to be changed. With each cascading dismay, Scott was reassuring and explaining each new issue clearly and helping me understand what was able to wait for my mechanic and what had to be addressed before leaving. Maegan was good about taking us to some beautiful picture taking places after her workday was done, Scott was agreeable and very calm about extending his work day to try and complete my repairs without it impacting the smooth running of the shop, and the rest of the guys were very understanding about picking up the extra workload given when this car came in for a simple clearing of the check engine light that became two extra days and the domino effect of simple to much more involved repairs. Even if my daughter, Maegan wasn't an employee, I still believe I'd would recommend this place for the knowledgeable and pleasant customer service.”
