Basic off highway campground behind a motel . Showers were hot and bathrooms clean but very dated. Just a place to catch a nights stay but not to linger .

I want to start off on the positives. I am currently staying here, tomorrow will be a week. The staff are just as nice as they come. The only good thing about this RV park/Motel are the people who work and own it. I can't stress enough how nice and professional they are. Now, let's go to the review. I HATE leaving less than stellar review especially when the people are so very pleasant but I want other travelers to have an honest, thorough review. This is an older Motel turned Motel/RV park. I have never stayed in or seen a park where the RV's are so close together that you can barely put your slides out. We had to park by measuring the tiny (inches) between our front and back slides and park with the water access between the two. The WORST is that you cannot walk outside w/out waking people on each side of you. I'm an earlier riser, and also go to sleep late. But I have been here a week tomorrow and I am EXHAUSTED. I am getting the least sleep that I've had in My life. You can hear everything- talking- dogs barking, tons of traffic. Each time someone opens and closes their door it sounds like it's in your own.I know I'm not the only one experiencing this. Yesterday at 4:30 pm I took a call from my sister. I didn't want to disturb the other RV'Ers so I went walking down the side road that comes into the park. It was a length conversation (much like this review) so I walked up and down the road several times. Well, around 5:15 PM ON A FRIDAY a man emerged from the only tent that is currently here. His physical demeanor was gruff, I could tell he was upset about something - I had no idea. But he kept "pouting" sorry I can't seem to find the right word but I haven't slept in a week. So as I ended my call I had to walk near his campsite (on the road-not in the grass or near his site, but it did run right beside his tent. He starred at me with a very angry look so I decided to apologize in case I had disturbed him. I said I am sorry if I disturbed you. He said yeah it happens all the time. So I again said well I am sorry I didn't realize anyone was in there (the tent) and actually even had I know I would have still stayed on my call. We were having a calm quiet conversation no laughing or raising of voices- nothing. He huffed toward his hammock and that poor hammock was taking abuse as he was attempting to get into it. I said AGAIN, for my third time, I was getting closer and about to walk close to him to get back to my RV. I said I truly am very sorry I didn't mean to disturb you In anyway. He very gruffly said man it happens every day. I am used to it by now, I haven't slept in 30 years. I realized he was probably more upset at the situation than at me but I felt badly since my neighbors have woken me up EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'm exhausted and I'm getting very grouchy from lack of sleep. I keep a fan on and the TV on ALL NIGHT to help with the outside noise but it barely covers if at all. We are directly under a very low lying electric line, I asked to move if they have any openings. Another RV (59amp) came in and they didn't offer to let us move to the open spot. Yes I would HATE picking it all up and move over 2 spaces but the space we are in (#5) is awful. They are all awful but I would have liked to get out from under the power line and away from the water hookupsThat would ruin our RV if God forbid it broke or sprang a leak. I have it 2 stars because the price is very fair, but they NEED a WI-FI upgrade if they are going to list it as an amenity. No Cable/TV service of any kind.Bathrooms are something you would normally find at a rustic camp site. I use mine in the RV so I don't have to go in there.Cute laundry room with fair prices to use the machines. It's close to everything so I can easily walk to two of the Dollar stores, the gas station, liquor store is steps (literally just steps) from the RV to the store. I have visited it twice in search of something I'd hoped would let me not hear all the noises but I guess I

If you need a place to stop with your RV for the night and keep on going, it is recommended. However, would not recommend for any length of time. Hard to tell where one site ends and the other even begins. Not attractive landscaping and sites very un-level. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of care or effort into the property.

Great place to pitch a tent for the the night. You do get noise from the highway, but it is what it is. Decent bathroom and showers.

Clean room and reasonably priced considering proximity to oil boom region. Downside, room does not have Wi-Fi and parking lot is dark if you arrive at night.

Dirty shower floors. I had to run the shower to "flush" the dead bugs down the drain. Old shower facilities. Cracked linoleum floors.

I was honestly surprised upon my arrival. It has an old school 70's feel to it, no room is equipped with a telephone. However, cable TV , microwave and fridge is available in room. I would highly recommend you sanitize everything and wear flip flops in the shower. Again, this could just be myself and my paranoia of germs. It does seen like some people live there full time and noone was not of bother to me. The weekly rate was inexpensive and the owner was a nice guy.You basically get what you pay for. If your looking for somewhere to lay your head while working all day, then I would recommend this location.

We tried this place for an overnight stop at their campground. We were given a 50 amp site however there were already long term campers there. We switched to a 30 amp site and our EMS system shut us down. When I checked the plug in my plug was scorching hot and our system would not rehook up. We checked the next site and the plug was already scorched. We asked for our money back and explained to the owner that the electric was dangerous and need repair. He was not impressed and neither were we. We moved on the the county fair grounds and had a very nice area to camp with 50 amp service. I would never stop at oakwood.

We were happy to find this place in the middle of not much to choose from, and were very pleased with the kind lady at the front desk. It's old, but having a full plug in with great service is all good!
