“The grocery store was amazing to have the selection of meat and frozen bulk restaurant food in such a small grocery store. You can buy bags of French fries, cheese curds, onion rings, all the stuff you could order from a restaurant. They had lots of random meat types, like wild boar, tripe, venison, buffalo, alligator, and boxes of frozen steaks and hamburders.”

“Based on the bad reviews we saw in the RV App - we decided before getting here that we would try to extend our next stop and decrease the number of days here

The reviews were disheartening - BUT when we got here we found that it wasn’t as bad as people complained it would be!

Yes it’s in a parking lot - but that lot has a view to Devils Lake and there is as beach nearby. It has water and electric with a dump station close by. There is a picnic table and grass. We got the end spot which was convenient and you can park your truck in the parking space in front of your rig.

There is also a gas station with diesel in walking distance as well. Truly I have been to worse parks - this one isn’t that bad and we had wished we hadn’t jumped the gun and canceled the 2nd night.

My husband made the reservations and canceled with the hotel. We had absolutely no problem doing either and my husband was in and out of the casino once he checked in without any problems.”

“I get to visit this hidden gem of a bed and breakfast this summer with my husband and baby and wish we could have stayed in here. We visited the Fort in the daytime and saw this place. This place is located inside a Fort. For history lovers, this would be an opportunity for you to stay inside a Fort full of history. After day time visiting hours, they said you get to have the Fort grounds by yourselves which makes it more interesting experience. It is very well maintained and also while you are here, it is in proximity to White Horse Hill National Game preserve which you can visit as well and may see some buffaloes, do some bird watching and see the cute prairie dogs in the prairie dog village. “Great hotel. Rooms are ok, however they are getting dated and repairs maybe were just a fast fix by the looks of things. Main bathroom light was flickering and then stopped working, but vsnity light was fine to see. Otherwise rooms are clean and staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was great. Good options for food service in a small hotel. Plus burger king is just across the street almost. Plus easy access to the hotel just off hwy 2. Would stay again if in town.”

“Stayed for a couple days to spend the holiday weekend with my better half. Room was extremely clean and quiet. Plenty of amenities and 2 free drinks per person can't be beat. Although, could have Jack stocked there.

Nancy was super friendly. Will most definetly be staying here next time I'm in Devils Lake.”

“I stayed here in October 2025 and had a great night sleep. The room was clean (though dated, which adds to the charm) and large, there’s plenty of parking, and helpful staff to tell me about the area. It’s a great deal for the the money!!”
