Chanterelle Restaurant, Inn & Cottages is a beautiful, cozy, and charming hidden gem of a spot. This eco-award-winning property is a very peaceful and quiet sanctuary on a 100-acre estate with a ridiculously beautiful location, high on a brae overlooking the estuary and offering spectacular, stunning mountain views. Guests can choose between unique, lovely single Queen or King rooms or cozy cabins with full amenities. The included breakfast is creative, delicious, fabulous, and an absolute treat. The dinner and indulgent seven-course tasting menu are amazing, excellent, and fabulous, featuring an amazing array of flavours with fresh, regional ingredients. Meals are served in a screened-in deck area, immersing guests in the harmony of nature. The staff are wonderful and excellent hosts who go above and beyond. The location is great for nearby access to the Cabot Trail and close-by nature trails. It is a very, very impressive accommodation and an excellent experience.
We had heard about the food here and came for that reason. We were not disappointed. The food was fabulous, our room was lovely and Holger was an excellent host with a rare, dry sense of humour that I thoroughly enjoyed. A hidden gem of a spot.
