I fell off one of the lookout points here. It was horrific. Injured my head but more importantly my foot. Cant walk now. AND insult to injury, i broke my phone and really hurt my pride. People watched me cartwheeling down the embankment. So embarrassing. I tried not to cry but i bawled when the ambulance arrived. I KNOW everyone on the trail was laughing at me... Great place to go but if its windy and youre a stick like i am, maybe dont stand on the edge for a selfie.

We camped here with our tent and used the very nice wooden washrooms inside. Our host, Kevin, was very friendly and helpful, we had a very nice chat over some coffee with good recommendations for the surrounding area. Even outside in the tent we had very good wifi reception. I highly recommend this place!

Hike consists of two parts:1) Short (15 - 20 mins), mostly uphill walk on easy gravel terrain. This gets you to the lake where you can go for a swim if you'd like. If not there are a couple of benches to sit and rest.2) Steep climb on a slippery slope up to some high rocks (~5 minutes). This is a natural viewpoint above the lake and gives you a panoramic perspective. There are some ropes available to help you on the climb. But I wouldn't rely on them too much - I noticed it's frayed in some points and the knots aren't really tied to anything that can take a lot of weight. It's an 'unofficial' route up, cared for by volunteers. So proceed with caution. I can guarantee that the view is worth the effort. Beautiful!

Love this spot for swimming and pictures! It's a relatively easy hike in(just one hill) to climb. Fresh water that isn't nearly as cold as the Atlantic. There are a few benches around, and a few places to get in and out of the water. Usually busy, but not overflowing.

Absolutely stunning! Gorgeous and totally worth the hike! It was reasonably short and easy to get to the lake. To get to this view though, you have to go up a very vertical trail, which was difficult for some families and those who are afraid of heights.

Short hike, about 15-20 minutes, but some of it up hill. Once you are there you can climb to the top, there is a rope to help get up and down, though it is very steep. But the view is amazing and so worth it. Also, this is a very very popular site, parking lot before the trail was packed and lined all the way down the road. Just be aware, there was about 30-40, maybe more cars when we were here and 4 times that in people. It was packed. I'd recommend getting up and going here early!

If you are interested in a short walk and a fantastic view, this is the perfect place. You can swim in summer and as an extra bonus in autumn you will get some beautiful photos.

Tricky hike up for the view for the non-hiker, but there is a rope fir help. Not a lot of room at the top for multiple people, be considerate and take turns. ?

My favourite lake in cabot trail. The hike is really short and you can kinda climb the rocks and get to the top to see it from above. Here are some photos for you!

Easy 1km walk in the woods, with a slight uphill portion to a cute little lake, previously quarry for mining. Especially if you get to town a bit early for your reservation at l’Abri Café.Fall colours were very nice.

Really cool spot to cliff jump or just swim. It’s a bit of a hike but totally worth it. Visiting in the evening when everyone had cleared out was surreal.
