We really wanna be transparent in writing this review to help both the employees doing their job and the campers.
Pros: Great location and access to the beach, true sand dunes, uh-mazing views (especially at sunset), close to the Cabot Trail. The campsite has an all-around good and fun vibe! :-)
Cons: It was overall pretty messy in regards of taking care of the infrastructures. We often entered the bathrooms/showers to find to no toilet paper whatsoever, and in a chaotic shape. We observed very little to no maintenance of the campsite unfortunately. We asked for wood once and there was none available (!). We also thought that paying up to 65$ for a night was a bit overpriced (we camped in tents with service), and even more so in the context of poor maintenance/infrastructure. We also observed a lack of signage to indicate anything really (including dishes and drinkable water). Doing dishes is by-the-way a pretty dubious experience in this campground.
Overall, we do not recommend this campground for a long stay, although the beach and people at the campsite made it ultimately bearable.

Beach ok nothing more, campsite ok, shower ok too but we noticed a lack of progress in terms of campsite maintenance. Basically quite ordinary but at a high price.

Wonder why there’s no pictures of the facilities on this Web Site? Well that’s because you might as well say there’s none because they are so…. Gross no one would want to use them. We stayed 2 Days & all we could do is carefully brush our teeth & pee standing up. So filthy dirty it turned my stomach just to go into the building. The dish washing station might as well be abandoned. This place must have not had any updates since the 90’s. I have no doubts it must of been a great place back in the day but today it should be shut down by the board of health due to its uncleanliness.
Walkability: Great trails to the beach.

Beautiful beach...cabin was overpriced for what it offered..I was told there was AC when I asked, but there was none..bathroom had no door..just a curtain that you could see through, another camper gave me his fan because he complained about no AC so they brought him one..staff was nice, but if you arrive after 5, you are out of luck..office is closed

We camped on a cold rainy weekend in May. We froze in our tent, so we rented a beautiful trailer they had. While we packed up our tent and stuff, they realized there was an issue with the hot water in the trailer, so they very generously put us in another much nicer unit. They were extremely helpful the whole time and always friendly and knowledgeable. The park is beautiful and the views are stunning.

There was only one RV space left at $52.00 without service. Somewhat exaggerated in terms of price. Very beautiful beach in a bay.

I have misgivings about giving a review, As we stayed in October, the "after' season, they may not have been at their best. Overall the campground seemed a little "tired" the men's washroom near our site, on evening arrival was not good! Many of the sites, seemed to be rented to year round tenants, some seemed very "set up" for a long stay! Which is okay, but some of the sites, like ours seemed very narrow. The roads had many potholes, which make for a very uncomfortable ride in a large vehicle. The staff was very helpful, the location is right near the water, I think it would be very nice during the busy season. Please note the specifics regarding reservations and cancellations.

We stayed Aug 4th-7th. The long weekend.First, the good. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The beach is very nice and easily accessible on the boardwalk. You can also access it through the wooded area, but that is difficult as there is a huge sand dune to climb. The view is pretty. The bad. This particular weekend, there was some kind of party happening. Many people in thier 20's having a great time. The problem is that our site was literally right next to them. We get that they were having a good time, but this happened until 2am! Lots of hollering, screaming, drinking, and music. Loud music.People walked right through our site constantly to get to the bathrooms. The bathrooms are not the best. They are very dated and worn. There is no signage to let you know where to walk to get to the bathrooms, so people wander aimlessly trying to find it.The roads are very narrow and very rutted. They are hard to navigate with an RV. There is also no clear signage of where sites are. Signs showing what numbers are on a lane would help. The map given at check-in is hard to follow. The hookups for sewer are sketchy. The hose just kind of sits in a hole, and you hope it does not come out. It has no cover except a piece of concrete to lay on the end of the hose.It was a loud, awful weekend. We did try to make the best of it, but it was hard to do.This campground needs some attention. The road ruts and bathrooms are the biggest ones. Having a security guy drive around in the evening did nothing to curb the loud partying going on. It definitely made up our minds to not return.I do not recommend this campground to adults looking to unwind.

Sites 110, 150 and 151 are absolutely disgusting. Sites 150 and 151 are abandoned and 110 is full of ants. The locals advised us not to come here but as everything else was booked, here we are at 110 with the ants after we declined our original site at 150. This campground is typical of what we see nowadays, it is 75% seasonals, so the campground doesn't give much care to the park.

Wonderful ocean view, amazing beach. Nice staff. Campsites are big and open for ocean view sites. We had a great view of the ocean. Small little lounge on the back of the office building. Beautiful little fountain at the front of the office. Great place. We’ll be back.

The camp sites are pretty tight together and not overly private. As far as location is concerned, it really can't be beat. However, the bathrooms are not well insulated so they're very cold, very dated and somewhat unkempt. The paint is peeling and chipping on the doors and the hot water takes a very long time to heat up. If you are going for the location? 5 stars. If you're going for privacy? 4 stars. If you're going for the bathroom? 3 stars - at best.Noteworthy details: On the beachfront.

Beach is beautiful and the stars looked crazy. Had a good time at my fire and everyone around seemed friendly.. However, I had to use the bathroom in the pitch black stall and the toilets aren’t secure into the ground, no toilet paper and no paper towel. The toilet literally fell forward on me. Also, showers are disgusting. But then again, it’s camping. I could be shower-less in the woods. Overall, good campground :)

Uninviting toilet block; spiders and other mosquitoes in webs just above the showers. Dirty beach when you take access from the campsite. $45 for a tent site, without water or electricity; it's very expensive because I paid $46 at 2 different places in Nova Scotia for 3 services and impeccable toilet blocks... I tried to book online, but you could only book by phone; I called 3 times and got an automated message inviting me to leave a message, but I was NEVER called back. So I decided to go there; I arrived around 5 p.m. on a Saturday and the reception desk was closed. I was invited to show up around 9 a.m. the next day to pay, but when you're on the road and want to leave very early the next day, it's far from ideal! Think twice before choosing this campsite!

Nicely located, but the condition of the place is in great need of care!

The staff were nice. We were able to first look at the pitch and then book it. The washhouse is getting old. For the men, only hot water works in the shower. A long-term camper drove his car up and down the site and walked his dog. The dog ran by the car. Teenagers with the minds of eight-year-olds knocked on our car and then quickly ran into the ladies' washhouse. Internet is only available at the office.
