We had a terrible experience with the service ( if you can describe it as service) with North American Van Lines !We recently moved from Halifax to Toronto with the help of North American Moving Services. Unfortunately, upon arrival we noticed some serious damage to some of our household goodsFirstly, there was damage to a coffee table. It now has serious scratches all along the sides and a large chip on one of the corners. These are not fixable and we now have a permanently damaged coffee table.Secondly, and most egregiously, there was a large rip/hole in a painting. The painting is completely unfixable and unusable.Lastly, there are several serious scratches on a media unit that can be seen from quite far away.

We booked our move in April for a July 15th closing date. As of August 7th, we still have not received our things. I would rather give them no stars. Dreadful customer service, horrible lack of communication. We are in our 70s, camping in our new home. Sleeping on an air bed, only folding chairs to sit on.

Terrible terrible experience. By far the worst company we have ever dealt with. Move from Ontario to NS with 10 months of storage. Unprofessional- crew arguing among themselves, unprepared - didn't have the basic tools needed to put furniture back together, damaged goods - some bigger pieces of furniture obviously had heavy items placed on top of them which caused them to buckle and break, lamps crushed, mattress destroyed, moldy/mildew on a number of clothes/suits. Master bed was put together without all of the pieces - they lost some. Bed collapsed when our dog jumped on it... they had put it together but failed to mention that the center structural support was missing... another bed and two desks are bent and/or have huge deep scratches...Insurance claim is a few thousand dollars, they sent an employee to review and process the claim - he argued and fought everything... Eventually had to ask him to leave... he refused! Told him several times to leave our house. He REFUSED!!! Told him we wanted to deal with a different person he refused... had to threaten to call the police... terrible terrible experience

Moved from ON to NS. Move date was over 1 month ago. I am missing two lap tops and several boxes. The movers who delivered my stuff set expectations I may not get everything and said they knew when they left they didn’t have all my stuff. Blamed the people who moved me out. See a claims didn’t respond I till after repeated follow ups and just said they are still looking. It’s been over a month and I don’t know if I will ever see my stuff again and am unable to replace it yet. Also, all the boxes were destroyed. Overpriced and unable to get breakdown of cost. Never againService: In-state moving

I needed to have my stuff on at truck just one week after I initially called North American Van Lines and they made it happen! The movers were fast and efficient, and though they were a bit behind on the day of loading, they kept me informed which is all I can really ask for. My stuff arrived at my new place 2000 km away just one week later, completely intact. Unloading was again professional and quick, and the documentation made me feel very secure. I was kept well-informed through the entire process and the quoted cost was the real cost as well -- there were no hidden fees or anything like that. I will use them again!
