Sobeys Penhorn, located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is a great option for grocery shopping.
I was impressed by the wide selection of fresh items, including fruits, vegetables, and meats, as well as the variety of international products and local specialties available.
The bakery and fish sections stood out for their exceptional quality and freshness, which added to the overall experience.
The store is well-organized, making it easy to find what you need, and the staff were very helpful and polite, always ready to assist.

This Sobey's store has different hours than some other Sobey stores, they close at 9pm instead of 10pm, but other than that it is a good place to shop.I asked if they could make smaller packages of their carmel corn poopcorn and thet did.

I was in the Portland Sreet Sobeys today and I am very disappointed. The public toilets were both disgusting! The sharps containers and garbage cans both looked like they hadn't been moved in years. The toilet was stinky and dirty and the door was the same. I absolutely realize they become dirty due to customers disrespect but this was beyond a bit of dirt.

It's a smaller store but they have what you need.
Just another greedy store. Always more expensive than Walmart, but when you don't have time or want to deal with the people of Walmart, sometimes you just have to pay up.

The closest (so I guess my local) Sobeys. Have been going here for 4+ years. Seems like a typical example of the franchise. Layout makes sense and never takes long to find anything. Obviously busy at peak times but has never been so bad that it is impossible to navigate. Appears clean and have never noted spills or messes that were not being taken care of quickly. Stock is always organized and never just left out in general areas. Typically there is not staff on the floor if looking for help but are are easy enough to find and usually have a pleasant disposition. Usually enough cashiers open so that the lines are not too long and they appear to go at an average peace. At least one 15 items or less line and no self-checkout (can be good or bad depending on you perception). Usual parking situation (accessible spots at front) and store seems it would be easy enough to navigate if one had specific mobile needs. Also believe they have times booked for weekly sensory sensitive shopping but should call the location to confirm the day/time this occurs. Have gone in Sunday nights looking at the pre-made and bakery sections for reduced ("enjoy tonight") items and there is usually not lot of in this category (has been pasta selections available every time I have checked).

Cashier, Lee, has poor customer service. Everytime I've gone through, she's never happy.
