UPS tried to deliver but I wasn’t home. Left the note coming back next day. I won’t be home next day either and had to change the delivery date to next week by online because it said “need signature”. I had to pay $6.84 for it. Next day, when I got home, I got delivery. I contacted UPS to dispute the $6.84 because I got delivered and I didn’t have to change the date and paid the fee for nothing, even didn’t need signature. I thought they didn’t leave it for the first place because of the signature. If they are going to leave it next day, they should let me know. I contacted UPS to refund the fee but they stated to contact sender as they need to be ordered by sender. I contacted sender and they stated they don’t do that and I should dispute online which I couldn’t. Horrible service. I won’t use both companies that I used this time.

No follow up for delivery, not even a text or call to help with delivery, do they expect people to wait outside there door with the time frame waiting for delivery.
The customer care service too didn't have enough information about my package
You can do better ups, even after charging more for the savers express

choice another shipper.
ups is unreliable, untrustworthy, and has no customer service.
if they have your package, prepaid, write it off.
it will never be delivered, will disappear, and eventually be auctioned off to the highest bidder on stolen items, for sale on a social media site.

I have had repeated issues with UPS deliveries to my apartment building, and unfortunately, the service and customer support have been extremely disappointing.
First, UPS does not deliver packages to my actual door. Instead, they leave them in the building’s public lobby near the entrance. This lobby is open to anyone coming or going, and leaving packages there is no different than leaving them on the sidewalk. It’s not secure, and UPS should know this.
As a result, parcels left in the lobby frequently get stolen. This has already happened to me with a past delivery, which was taken before I ever had the chance to retrieve it. While UPS’s insurance and reimbursement process eventually covered the loss, that’s not the point. I didn’t just need the money back — I needed the product that I ordered. Having to reorder, wait again, and go through the entire hassle wastes my time, causes delays, and creates unnecessary stress.
What frustrates me most is that other delivery services, like food delivery (pizza, Chinese, etc.), have no issue bringing items right to my door. Why? Because they understand the obvious — if it’s left in the lobby, it will probably be taken by someone walking through. It makes no sense that UPS cannot provide the same level of care for parcels that are often much more valuable than a food order.
When I tried to resolve this problem, I contacted UPS customer service directly and explained the situation clearly: I need packages delivered to my door, not abandoned in the lobby. I also pointed out that if UPS continues to leave items in unsecured areas, thefts will continue, which just means more claims against their own insurance and more inconvenience for their customers. Despite explaining all of this, customer service was completely unhelpful.
The representative told me that there was nothing they could do to change delivery instructions over the phone, and that I had to use the UPS website or mobile app. The problem is, I have already tried that. The app and website only offer generic, pre-selected options, and there is no way to enter a specific request such as “deliver to door.” I explained this, but the agent still refused to help me or make any exception. The call ended with no resolution, and I was left with the same problem as before.
In summary:
UPS refuses to deliver to my door, leaving packages in a public space where theft is highly likely.
I have already had at least one package stolen in this way.
Customer service provided no real assistance and pushed me back to an app that doesn’t allow meaningful delivery instructions.
Other delivery companies have no problem delivering to the door, proving that it is entirely possible if UPS cared enough to do it.
This has caused me repeated frustration, wasted time, and unnecessary stress. Until UPS changes its practices and offers real solutions for customers who live in apartment buildings, I cannot recommend them. Their current approach leaves customers vulnerable to theft and puts the burden of resolving the problem entirely on us, instead of taking responsibility for safe delivery.
Use anyone else but UPS. They truly are the worst delivery company ever.

THIS LOCATION IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED TO CUSTOMERS!!!
The last review I saw was 2 years ago saying the same thing, and they still havent updated google maps to tell customers that they will not accept customer drop offs despite having hours of operation online. If you arrive you will see that they have torn down the customer service sign from their walls. Do not come here to drop off or pick up your parcels

Very disappointed with the delivery experience. I ordered a guitar through Amazon, which was shipped via UPS by a music store. Despite clearly providing contact information and delivery instructions (as the receiver lives in an apartment with restricted access), UPS delivery driver made no effort to reach out. They repeatedly marked the delivery as “receiver unavailable” and left, without even trying to call.
When I contacted UPS customer service, the support was poor and unhelpful. I was told there was nothing they could do—and to make matters worse, they said holding the package at a nearby UPS store for pickup wasn’t even an option. For a paid delivery with clear instructions, this experience was frustrating. UPS seriously needs to improve both their communication with delivery drivers and customer support, especially for apartment deliveries.

These clowns lost important documents that were supposed to be delivered to me from the US Including death certificates for my grandmother and grandfather. Not only did they abandon the package but they put me into collections over $32 that was owed even though they didn't tell me that. Horrible company hope they go bankrupt

Said my parcel was attempted to be delivered and yet nobody showed up at my home. Cameras show nobody at all near my house making a delivery. I work 7-7 and don’t have time to pick up an expedited delivery at the hub. Terrible service. Second time this has happened.

Absolutely the worst for shipping. As others have noted, apparently severe weather includes sunny skies and 6 degrees. My package has been out for delivery several times, and I can't get hold of someone who will just let me com pick it up.

My package has falsely reported it's been out for delivery 2 consecutive days.. which both times they have said severe weather delay on a blue sky day. I called this morning to verify it was on the truck. Customer service said yet.. (lied) .
The package is at a facility where it can't be picked .. I can redirect to a pick up facility.. will take 2 more days to get there in the same city. Painful to deal with customer service. I'd sooner trust a messenger pigeon to get it here.
