“Rustic yes...Location, location location... and Chef Tina in the Restaurant kitchen prepared for us the best meal we had in all our travels in NS. The fresh fish superb and the Chowder was AMAZING.. all others can not come close to comparing....locally sourced: Lobster, mussels, taters, and halibut and a few imported shrimp mixed in too. She came out and proudly to us she has been there 25 yrs, The entire staff was terrific! The Marklands other amazing asset is the expansive beach cove. Please explore the beach! Try to go at low tide. I have an app "Tide Charts" that geolocates to help with the timing. Enjoy the wonderful rounded glacial beach pebbles, cross the little stream at the far end ( a few locals were taking a swim in it ) and explore the cliffs, walk back around to the pond estuary ... it's nature and Cape Britton at its best!
