I purchased a new dishwasher from Berry's after my Samsung bit the biscuit. Katie was awesome -- helped me find one that suited my needs and it was in stock! I purchased it, but I had to go out of town on business for two weeks. Berry's hung on to it for me in the warehouse and I arranged delivery once I returned. Easy-peasy and a great experience!

Would never buy from this business given the two experiences I had. Buyer beware. We go to Worldwide Furnitre for all our needs which gives excellent after purchase service.

I ordered a sofa bed through Berry's and after waiting ~2 months and being told it was supply chain issues, they called to say they found it in a truck in the parking lot and didn't realize it had come in previously. So I was waiting unnecessarily. I'll be honest, it's a really nice piece of furniture and I love the easy to clean aspect of it and no tears and still looking sharp after 2 years. However, the sofa bed mechanism broke and I called since it was still under warranty and they told me they couldn't provide help because I couldn't provide them the serial number. I provided them the receipt and images of all of the stickers that were on the sofa but they said there should be one more sticker that would provide the serial number. I told them I didn't remove any and I sent them everything I had. They had no solutions. It was very disappointing. So now I have a very heavy sofa with no function of a sofa bed. I hope Berry's will rectify this situation.

Bought a washer in October and broke in February. Called Barrys and said that they can not do anything and gave a 1-800 number that we have to call. We have to wait 4 weeks just to have someone look at the washer and this does not include the time for repair and parts. Called Barrys again and they will do nothing. Gave number for a local guy but warranty not covered if we use him. $1000 for a washer that works for 4 months. Unacceptable customer service. Then I bought a head board in Feb. The sticker on the head board said discount due to scratches. It did not look to bad so I purchased it. When I got home the headboard had lights in it but did not come with a remote. Called the store and service agent lied and said that's why it has a discount on it. which was not the case as I still have the sticker stating scratches. The billing was done wrong on my flexi card which I will not get into but in the long story short it was processed incorrectly so a refund and new purchase had to be done. When this was done it messed up another promo on my card costing me money. In the end two bad experiences with this company. To bad Im furnishing an entire house in six months and BARRYS will get none of my business or money

Berry's was recommended highly by a friend and when I purchased my new Bosch washer and dryer there I found out why. When the washer was damaged in transit they were wonderful in addressing the delivery issue , sending out a new washer immediately and ensuring I was satisfied with delivery and installation. My thanks to Cory , Kara and the management for their quality sales and service and communication. I recommend them highly and will be heading for Elmsdale in the future for my applainces and furniture . Thanks

We find this store to have great furniture and customer service. We purchased an Ashley recliner in May, however the footrest twisted, and we had to return it. We went to the store, found another one we liked, and arranged delivery. In spite of Hurricane Fiona on a Friday, they delivered as promised on Tuesday! We expected we'd have to wait a week! The delivery staff removed the broken one and set up the new one, and were very pleasant at a stressful time for all (they still didn't have power at their homes in Truro).

Absolutely deplorable customer service, salesman is useless and manager is equally useless and rude. I understand now why after 50 years in business they have only managed to open 2 stores. They are incompetent.Once they have your money they will totally ignore you and if you do manage to get them to return a phone call they won't be of any help anyway. Guess that don't care about having repeat customers.

Very nice and friendly staff. Me and my with needed a new washer and dryer and the lady that assisted us was extremely helpful without hovering like a hungry eagle like most places. She made it very quick and easy for us.

Our experience was excellent. We were told where things were and left alone. When we asked a question the answer was given promptly and professionally. The best part was when we made our choice, it was in stock! We had been to six other furniture stores this week and should have begun our search here! Will be back!

During this pandemic HRM, like every other place in Nova Scotia and Canada alike have suffered economically. Collectively people nationwide have been encouraged to shop local to aid in economic recovery. On January 21,2021 I required a new dishwasher and chose to go out of town to purchase a reasonably higher end dish washer (Bosch) from Berry's as opposed to the larger businesses such as Leon's, Home Depot, The Brick, etc. The reviews seemed to reflect a local business that offered the service one would expect from a smaller and reputable business. This has not been my experience. The dishwasher broke within 8 months, and I contacted Berry's. First off, I accept that a brand is only as good as the service that backs it, and it is a fact of life that machinery malfunctions regardless of the manufacturer. So, following the recommendation made by a sales lady at Berry's Furniture I chose a Bosch over other brands. With due respect to this sales lady, it was in her experience that they have had great success with that brand, and I had nothing to be concerned about for several years.Following the dishwasher failure, I contacted Berry's and was informed that they do not deal with warranty and to call 1 800 xxx to speak to a representative from Bosch as this was protocol. Although I can’t say I was impressed with this response as a customer I accepted it and did just that. Two "short" weeks later a service technician showed up and informed me the pump was faulted and it could take 2 to 3 weeks for the part to arrive, and they would contact me on arrival. I again called Berry's and informed them of my situation and requested the possibility of a replacement. Answer: spoke with Bosch representative on my behalf and the wait time was acceptable. So, I was ultimately stuck without a broken dishwasher for 5 weeks this summer. It was perfect timing with our guests we were entertaining to say the least.Under the circumstances if that had been the end, I guess we as consumers just must just grin and bear it because well "protocol". However, that was not the end; 2 "short" weeks later our highly recommended Bosch machine has once again faulted with the same issue. I call Berry's and inform them of the latest situation, and I emphasize that under the circumstances I want a replacement dishwasher and I want them on my behalf to represent me, to contact Bosch and arrange a replacement. Answer: Sorry Sir, as this is not protocol you will have to call 1 800 xxx and arrange for a service technician to come in and assess the issue.Thank you, Berry’s, for your exceptional service with providing me with 1 800 xxx. That was some real hometown protocol right there.... perhaps customer service is no longer in your hometown dictionary, try Webster's.Kind RegardsBuyers Beware!!

Bought a new fridge here, but had a floor model delivered. When I called to figure out if there was a mix up with delivery the manager told me the sales person must have lied to me He then said he would give a $50 discount on my next purchase, which he would make a note of on my account. Came in to buy a new washer and had the sales person say "That isn't something we do but ill text him because he won't answer a call today." the manager apparently replied that he doesn't remember but that isn't something they do. A sales person blatantly lying to customers isn't a surprise but a discount for the inconvenience they caused is? Completely disgusting business practices. I will never recommend Barry's or return. Manager is a liar and staff give mediocre customer service at best.
