This is a beautiful bed and breakfast close to many sites in the Grand Pre and Wolfville area. Our hosts Adrianna and Desmond were so warm and welcoming and extra accommodating when I was sick in bed one day. The breakfasts were delicious and our room was lovely and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend the Old Lantern for anyone staying in this area.

I overnighted here for a wedding, and I had a fantastic experience. The owners were gracious and accommodating, and the breakfast was very easily the highlight.
The premises is rustic and charming, the room is well appointed and the bed is extremely comfortable. I consider the stay to have been tremendous value for money.

A charming couple provided a wonderful personalized experience in their beautiful well kept inn. They have a few choices for breakfast and all of them are 5 star. We have done a getaway there 5 times, there is a nice restaurant next door or a 10 minute drive to the town of Wolfville offers numerous options.

Stayed one night while travelling Annapolis Valley.
The hosts were very nice, knowledgeable and friendly. They recommended different activities to do in the area.
Breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. The hosts really went above and beyond and it made our stay amazing.
We will stay again in the future. A true gem.

We LOVED our stay at Adriana & Desmond’s wonderful B&B. The place is beautifully decorated, and so lovely and welcoming. A & D were there to welcome us, show us to our room, and provide us with all the information we needed for our stay. It’s the perfect location, just a couple of minutes drive from Wolfville and two minutes walk through the vineyards to some local wineries. A & D advised us to go to the winery just down the way to pick up a bottle and we could bring it back (they had wine glasses and ice buckets ready for us), which meant we could enjoy their wonderful terrace and watch the sunset. In the morning A & D served up the most amazing breakfast, which we enjoyed whilst chatting to them/getting to know them better, and did a little bird watching out the window. It was the perfect stay from start to finish. If you’re thinking of booking, just do it :)

Beyond wonderful, worth way more than 5 stars. We have stayed at this B&B three times. The best part is the wonderful people that own and run it, Adriana and Des. The breakfasts are to die for, and they totally handle my many food allergies. We have already booked a week for next August!
Rooms: Rooms are spacious and well-appointed
Nearby activities: A winery and wonderful outdoor patio, with a great chef, all right next door. More wineries close by.

We booked a room here last minute and I can’t imagine if we hadn’t had found it. Our time here was an absolute delight! Adriana and Desmond are the friendliest of hosts and have so many stories and things to share. We learned so much by staying here and we had the most pleasant time around the fire in the evening with a glass of wine and new friends. The views of vineyards are stunning and the walk to the lookout viewpoint was a huge bonus that we felt soo lucky to experience! Breakfast was amazing and our room was a cozy and wonderful oasis. We cannot wait to visit again!
Walkability: The viewpoint is about a 5-minute walk from the B&B! Worth the trip for viewing the sunset. Take a bottle of wine and soak in the views!

Desmond and Arianna are lovely and very personable! The Inn is in a beautiful location and a 7 minute walk out back will present you with a postcard view of Grand Pre and Blomidon. The bed was comfortable. However, If you are a light sleeper, do not book the ‘Wine Cellar,’ as you can hear everything from the room upstairs. That was a huge disappointment. The room was also comfortable but the decor was mediocre and should be more reflective of the period and environs. There are no amenities in the rooms except for a couple of bottles of water. If you are a person who enjoys an early coffee or an herbal tea before you retire, there is no provision for that. This is the first B&B where we have had that experience. However, unless these negatives are game changers, I recommend you check it out.
Rooms: There isn’t a refrigerator or any way to make a hot drink in the room. The ‘Wine Cellar’ was crowded and could use a makeover to reflect the age of the Inn and the lovely Valley environs. The ceiling is not insulated and everything can be heard from the room above.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Old Lantern Inn. Room quiet and comfortable. Best breakfast ever. Loved walking through the vineyard to the view park and the winery. Lovely hosts.

Desmond and his wife Arianna were so lovely! The room was perfectly cleaned and was so so very cosy. We arrived quite late at night, but they made sure to stay up and make us feel welcome. Lovely rustic inn and very comfortable accommodations. The bed was sooo comfy and the room quiet . The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We were given lots of suggestions for dinner in Wolfville and you can walk behind the inn ( about 3 mins) to the Landscape of Grand Pre view park. It is a 5 min drive from Wolfville and close to area tourist sites.Breakfast was delicious! Would definitely stay here again.Rooms: Everything is spotlessly clean and well maintained.Food & drinks: Breakfast was delicious!

Adriana and Desmond are amazing hosts. We stayed one night and had a great sleep. The rooms were clean and can’t beat the view of the vineyard. Bonus was the mean breakfast Desmond cooked up.
