Has a good selection of TWSBI fountain pens, but you need to ask to see them. Also carry Rhodia note books.

Nice bookstore. Friendly employee. There is a discount book section. A great idea, the books are very affordable starting at $2. Thus, reading is accessible regardless of the budget. In addition, there is a book section in French. Good to highlight employees' favorites, it makes you want to discover.

Here because of the poor review below me (hfx) the guy writes poor reviews on a daily basis out of self satisfaction. Aw you poor baby, they are clearly busy with their work, I think you two should develop some patience!

My mom who is a senior we dropped by to inquire about some novels she was interested in purchasing today. Well the two nitwits on front cash were too invested in their computer work instead of assisting someone who clearly wanted some questions answered. They didn’t even glance our way especially after I said excuse me? Can you please be of any assistance? Not a flinch, nothing. And furthermore I won’t be returning to this complacent joke of a store. Greet customers within 3 minutes of entering or don’t work in retail! Doing computer work in front of customers is only for transactions at the end of a sale! Unprofessional, complacent and not a good business!

Best shop for new books in Halifax. They have a lot of unique offerings, all the latest best sellers, and can special order you almost anything you can think of. Wonderful staff who have great recommendations too!

Pros: huge sections of stationary, writing utensils, puzzles, history, local, science, mystery, fiction, scifi, gardening, spirituality, philosophy, all new/recent releases and some lovely greeting cards, great employees

A most excellent bookstore! The best in Halifax in my opinion. They also have small sections on First Nations, new age, and graphic novels (not manga though). The selection is different from any other bookstore in town, so you're likely to find something to your fancy here if you couldn't elsewhere. I highly recommend!

I've been to many bookstores in my time on this planet and I can say with confidence that this one is excellent.The building itself is not huge but the selection is grand, If I lived closer I would definitely shop here more frequently.
