While walking around the store looking for a very hard item to find a young man named Jack Brand came up and asked if he could help me. YES you can please I was almost leaving, Jack really came through for this old veteran, he took his time to make sure I got the right bolts and washers, I had already been to two other stores. What I really liked was his candy attitude, thanks Jack

Found what I was but every time I go to this store there is a man or woman, saturated in Cologne or perfume, who tries to approach and somewhat follow you. They 'sometimes' take No Thank You for an answer or continue to bother you. Impossible to get in without be hustled by them.I try to do my Canadian Tire shopping at other locations when possible.Don't want to be hustled by a stinky and persistent person? Consider yourself an introvert? Maybe shop at another location.Otherwise, always has what I want I stock and actual Canadian Tire staff are nice and helpful.

The one stop store for your needs at home. The garage area manages at least 8 vehicles so you can shop while while your tires r changed. JP's car staff are excellent, very knowledgeable and service orientated. The checkout out area is very spacious and checking out is fast and courteous. Thank you JP and staff.

The last 2 visits to the Chain Lake store I had the same cashier. The first time she addressed me as darling. I informed her I didn't appreciate being addressed as darling and would prefer sir. I'm 60 years old. She did the same on the second visit. Very unprofessional.

Please be advised, that Canadian Tire DOES NOT ISSUE REFUNDS on defective products sold within 30 days even with the original sales receipt! All the big box stores in this area such as COSTCO, Home Depot, Kent, Walmart, etc will without hassle. Think about that next time you need to make a purchase.

Nice place to do the mandatory Motor Vehicle Inspection, you can book their service online and they have a nice lounge area for you to wait!

Canadian Tire is always great but I was only there to have my cars safety inspection done. They told me it would take 1 hour and 15 mins, ok that seemed longer than normal. Walked around the store for a half hour or so then came back to the sit in the waiting area. It has windows where you can see into the mechanics bay and I didn't see my car in there at all, so I could see outside to the parking lot slightly and thought I saw my car but couldn't see perfectly. Well another half hour passes and the guy comes to say my car is ready, Great, I pay and go outside to get my car, well low and behold the car I saw that I thought may have been my car, well it was. So my car was done and ready to go while I waited in the waiting room. So that was kind of annoying and I would have liked to get on my way earlier.

BUYER BEWARE!!! This store will sell you junk that doesn't work and refuse to refund your money even if you return it within 30 days and have the original receipt! They will instead offer you store credit so that you can buy more junk that doesn't work. I was told by the store manager that this is the RETURN POLICY OF THE CANADIAN TIRE CORP!!! So remember that the next time you need to buy something, should you buy it here where they will not refund your money if the product is broken or should you buy it elsewhere where they will not hassle customers with such a ridiculous policy. I will never shop here again so it's a lose lose situation for both customer and merchandiser.

If I could give more stars I would. After calling around to numerous shops that said they couldn't get me in until 3-4 days, including other Canadian Tire auto centers, I tried Canadian Tire Bayer's Lake. I explained I had a nail in my tire and was there any chance they could take me in that day. They said yes they could. They were friendly, fast, and I'm so appreciative. Thank you so much!

Simply put, they are team of thugs, I'd most terrible experience with them, the lady supervisor is the worst person I'd encountered after long long time, not only she is rude, but highly unprofessional. I went there for a simple job of getting my break hose replaced, left around 12:30 and got a text around 4:55 that car is ready, charged 5 hrs of labor only, while I was there they didn't even touch my car, guess after that they just been working on my car non stop, even considering that it's still not 5hr of labor, in the morning while I was there I was told they have to inspect my breaks and was told there is a charge of 55 + taxes, I declined that and didn't sign the work order, to my surprise there was a charge for that on the invoice, next day when I went there to discuss that, the lady supervisor told me she can't do anything about it and I need to talk to the person I dealt with, when he showed up and I raised my concerns, he was shocked too, to mY surprise this lady not only interfered, but also told the guy that they can't do anything about it and I need to talk to the workshop supervisor, she told him to tell me that he is not in today and won't be in tomorrow, to my surprise that guy showed up while I was still seeking an explanation from the person I dealt with, he was so helpless I could read his face and tried to convince this lady, his reporting supervisor, I was so frustrated I decided to leave the scene, so I waited in the waiting room and could hear him trying to convince her and she kept telling him we can't do anything, it was obvious at this point she had some personal biases against me,anyways I spoke with the workshop guy, who I was told is not in that day and while he was coming to me, she again murmured something to him and the guy also straight away said they can't do anything, he was like he has to charge for his time, guess 5 hrs of labor was not enough to justify his time, they charged close to 900 for this simple job, guys, do yourself a favor, just avoid them at all cost, I also checked with few of my colleagues and they had the same horrible experience, in one instance their car started to misfire and when they went back reporting the same, same lady supervisor declined servicing their car,, on checking theirSystem later ended up taking accountability for their shady workI wish there was an option to give minus 100stars to this shady businessI request others to come forward and share their experiences too to help other fellow Canadians not to be a victim to such a shady business, they continue ripping us for us not sharing our experience,so come forward and help each other

It happened twice on different dates for different products: I checked the website first to make sure it was worth the trip, and it said the products I was looking for were on stock at this store. Arriving there... there were none. I won't try it a third time.

Great support from Luc during pick-up of on-line order at Chain Lake location. Really big store, but order was ready for pick-up and got out the door in minutes. When got back to the van, had difficulty assembling my purchase, returned to find Luc, who walked the length of the store to figure what was missing, and I was good to to go again. To be so cheerful, pleasant and helpful ranging over such a large retail space ( Luc tracks between 15,000 and 20,000 steps a day!) was remarkable and a great reason to visit this CTC location again. Cheers, M

Went into the bayer's road ,Halifax today to exchange back a soda stream cylinder which was accidentally sold to me a while ago as the new pink one and I can only use the blue.Reason I did not notice i tend to have 3 cylinders so took a while to get to this one to find out it is for the newer onesAs it is open and cannot find the receipt I only wanted to trade it in and get the blue one and pay for the refill.Told I could not and while still debating this the other cashier who was next to me stepped in and clicked full price as if no trade in (voided my transaction)and walked away with the younger cashier simply given me bill as if I had no cylinder to trade in .I asked her (the other cashier) that I was dealing with this cashier and if she wanted to step in for whatever reason should at least communicate with me and and she simply glared at me angrily and turned away, not a word!Never seen such rudeness. Was going to get the manager but in hurry given was 6pm and I needed to go homeAfter now checking with soda stream they should have switched as needed the bottles (irrespective of type-its mainly due to the new adapters) and was shocked it was not ,especially given the initial error .However plan not to go back there given my experience .The behaviour of the second cashier was one of the worst I seen in agesCanadian tire really need to train their staff properly in mannersI plan to go exchange at another shop despite see above as regards how it all started by given wrong cylinder to start with a while ago! However, that shocking experience is not worth coming into that shopI wonder how many she treated in a similar fashion1 star too high for this experienceUPDATE since the post Canadian tirecustomer service has spoken to me and promised to feedback to the store so nice to see they care and I have increased the rating to two

Worst customer service ever. Never again will I shop at this location. Dartmouth Crossing store was a much better shopping experience. Customer service was the best.So I was asked to call the 800 number and spoke to a customer service rep that told me I need to call the store directly. Wow, what a waste of time. Why would you ask me to call the 800 number when there is nothing you can do to resolve the problem.Worst customer service.
