“A small, gift shop with art prints, ceramics, and other displays made by the locals both here and around Halifax. It was very quiet and not crowded at all, when we visited. The displays are in a spacious, clean well-kept area with staff present and greeted us. There were a few products that caught my eye, too. It was a good 10-15 minutes of browsing Inkwell Modern Handmade Boutique & Letterpress Studio Inc.”

“Amazing store! I went in to get my first head scarf, I was super nervous but the lady at the store was SO SWEET. She was incredibly helpful showing me around and letting me feel the fabrics before buying them. “One of my favourite boutique shops in NS. Jill (the owner) is often there and is always friendly. I don’t know her personally, but she is always honest when I ask her opinion, and tries to help me find something ideal without being pushy - a rare combo. Her staff is also helpful and friendly.
She sources quality brands (Velvet, Sanctuary, LillaP) at reasonable prices, and brings in clothing appealing (and suitable) for all ages. She also brings in some brands that are trendy and a lower price point (Gentle Fawn, Lyla). She has great end of season sales for those in a budget.
My only suggestions - I wish she brought in a larger quantity of popular sizes and a few more brands of jeans for different body types (other than 7 for all mankind and I think one other brand).”

“Mr big and tall has been my home away from home for many years. I’ve developed a very amazing relationship with the staff over the years. It’s like the old school clothing stores where the staff know exactly what you want in what size as soon as you enter. Customer service like this, is hard to find. My only problem is trying to convince my wife that o need clothes all the time.”

“I came here a few years ago, and it was such a nice surprise to see the place looking even better this time. They repainted the outside, and it really makes the shop stand out.
It may look small from the outside, but once you step in, there’s so much to see. From cool jewelry and vintage finds to little treasures and handmade items from all over, you never know what you’ll come across. I ended up spending way longer than I planned just looking around.”
