DeSerres Halifax is a wonderful store with a great downtown location, close to the local art school and on major bus routes. It offers a great and huge selection of art supplies and other items for artists and creators of all types, from drawing and crafting to embroidery, calligraphy, and miniature houses. You can get everything you want here, and it also provides framing services. While some note the prices are a little higher and express concern over the end of a rewards program, it is described as the best store in Halifax for art supplies and a paradise for people of art, with great staff. Parking includes street parking and a pay lot across the street.
I was in there for markers and watercolor materials: great selection of paper, lots of paint choices at several price points. Micron Pens selection was fabulous. Really great store.

Not the locations fault but they got rid of rewards card program and discounts, strange move when things are cheaper online, worried about this stores future, i've been shopping here for years will keep supporting them.
