My mum and I booked Discount Movers on short notice and they stepped up to the plate. Arnell is very personable and kind, he answered all of our questions and assured us that he would take care of us. The three men that moved us were very respectful and worked hard, they actually sang while they unloaded the truck. We do not hesitate to recommend Discount Movers to others and will definitely call Arnell for our next move.

Stay firm with them please. I've got a piano which i thought it was 600 pounds but turned out to be 1200 pounds. They managed to move it to my room. It was REALLY tough but they showed great professionalism and reliability with it. They cost was acceptable and cheap needless to talk about the student discount! The workers are chill, kind and tough. Great service!

I hired this company to move me from my 2 bed apt to a house 50km away. They came at 9am and didn't finish until after midnight! They had to do two runs even though I sent them exact measurements of all my furniture and the number of boxes prior to the move with the concern that they supply a large enough truck. They were also extremely slow, (except when the owner appeared) complained constantly and broke/damaged several of my belongings. When they arrived at the brand new property I was moving into they made several deep gouges in the wall and my new hardwood floors. They promised to come back and fix it but did not - on the two occasions they said they would come do it. I would not recommend this company at all.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My senior mother used discount movers to move her1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom apartment, that was only over 2 streets. They took her stuff down 1 flight of stairs, and moved her items up 4 flights of stairs. My mother was charged 700 dollars for this move, they also broke her mirror and would not cover the damages. In no way should this move cost 700 dollars, my mom was definitely taken advantage of, she had no one there to help her, she doesn't like dealing with confrontation, she was told she would not get her stuff without paying. Just want to make people aware and to think twice before using this moving company, she also tried to call back and speak to someone but no phone calls were returned.

I booked Discount Movers for a local move yesterday. Arnell, the owner, was very friendly right from the beginning. I requested quotes from about 15 different companies and Arnell was the fastest to provide the quote and was the most pleasant to talk to. Most other companies quoted me about $1K more than Arnell but cost aside, I would have chosen Discount Movers based on Arnell’s superior customer service.The movers arrived on time and worked HARD for 8 hours to complete my move. The move took a bit longer than the quoted time but I had more stuff than I expected and we weren’t allowed to put the elevator on service in my building which added time to the move. Neither of those issues were Discount Movers’ fault, though! I was prepared and had assumed the move would take longer than expected (because when moving, things rarely go as planned). Arnell was very apologetic but I assured him it was something out of his control and it was mostly my fault for having so much stuff! (There were a LOT of boxes!! Haha)Arnell’s staff were wonderful! The three men that completed my move were friendly, efficient, and hard workers. Since I am new to the area, and the movers knew the area well, they gave me some recommendations on good restaurants, etc and told me how to avoid rush hour traffic. Even with the amount of stuff I had, they stayed in a positive mood all day. Arnell also helped unload the truck to get the move done as quickly as possible.I hope I don’t move again soon but I will be recommending Discount Movers to anyone I know that is moving. I found out they also offer a delivery service which I will be using when I get some new furniture for my new apartment!Thank you Arnell and staff for turning what would have been a stressful day into seamless magic!

I hired the 2 times, the first time they move a table and a shell from my house to a storage unit, I was happy with their job, the only thing was that they never mentioned that they only take cash, second time asked them to help me packed some stuff to a igual box I have rented and they did it good, however, someone decide to take some tools from my garage, a new and un opened Ryobi Battery, and other things from the house . Is really sad they did a good Job first but was really sad when discovered what had happened. Please be careful with them, sadly you need to be vigilant while they do their job.

We were very happy with the service provided in moving our piano. The crew was on time and very professional. The truck driver was really skillful in navigating a good angle for our steep, rocky driveway. The team got the very very heavy piano down a flight of narrow steps. They cleaned up after themselves and voila! Perfect move! Thank you.
