I went in on a busy Friday morning in the middle of a Boxing Day sale. The store was packed, but my sales associate did her best to look after me in addition to other customers. The level of service she offered was exceptional. After trying a number of different styles, I took a few home to see if they would work with my wardrobe. I was feeling overwhelmed by how busy the store was and thought it would be good for me to get out of that hectic environment so I could truly consider my options.When I started trying the bras with my work clothes at home I realized the fit was off, and that the bands were causing uncomfortable chaffing around my rib cage. I went back the next day to try and exchange them for a better fit, but was unsuccessful after trying a number of different styles.The store carries a lot of brands, but seems to favour a cut that caters to round breasts vs. tear drop, so I was unsuccessful at finding a good fit for my cup and rib cage needs combined. Since the store only offers store credit, I was faced with making my original purchase work, or taking store credit and hoping they would offer different styles and cuts at some point in the future. Since I am in desperate need of bras now, neither of these options help me.My dealings with the second associate were not as pleasant as the first. Despite the store being empty, they were less attentive than the first. They wanted to know the name of the first associate because they felt I had been measured incorrectly, and brought me bras to try that were too big in the rib cage, or a poor fit in the cup. Through their words and body langauge, the second associate made me feel like I had unreasonable expectations for comfort given my cup shape and rib size, and told me that no bra is going to be a perfect fit. This left me feeling really defeated, given the store's promise to find a perfect fit for women of all shapes and sizes.I still have the original, uncomfortable bras from the first day because they were the best fit I could find based on the current inventory. I am going to take them to a tailor to see if they can help me make them work. I won't be shopping at the Halifax Bra Store again, but I hope this feedback is helpful to the management team. I also hope it serves as a cautionary tale to those with sensory overload challenges (autistic people and people with ADHD, PTSD etc.) who often take purchases home to consider in calm, quiet environments. This store does not issue refunds under any circumstances, so that common coping strategy won't work here.

The first time I visited the store, I was very pleased with my experience! The staff were so helpful. Unfortunately, two of the bras I have bought from this store have broken. One within three months! Every time I have tried to get ahold of the store via phoning or email it has been a game of cat and mouse. The incident that pushed my rating to a zero is when I went in a couple of weeks ago. I brought with me yet another broken bra (I treat them with a lot of care. Put them in separate bags with delicate washing on, hang dry etc so there is no reason the ribbing should be popping out the way it was). No refund was given for this yet another malfunctioning $90 bra. I decided to order an $125 piece as I was told it would hold up better and paid $10 for nine day shipping. It has been almost a month since I ordered and no bra. Sent an email a week ago. No response. Called the shop today and nothing but a filled up voicemail (this is almost exactly what happened last time when I tried to get ahold of them about my first couple bras breaking. Stupid me went back again). Can’t leave a message. Please do yourself a favour. Spend your time and money on a boutique that takes care of its clientele. Would love to change this review as I rarely give bad ones but so far have zero reason to.

I’ve been to the store twice over the past few days and Juliana helped three generations of my family find the perfect bra - something we’ve never had and thought didn’t exist until she helped us each find one that suited us and educated us on bra design and fit. She stuck with us from start to finish and made our shopping experience her priority. She was also very respectful of my teenagers pronouns - just naturally noting and using the pronoun we used which was so appreciated. My days of department store bra shopping are over. I’ll be a customer of the Halifax Bra Store for life now. Thank you Juliana!

Best bra shopping experience I’ve ever had! Sarah and Amit were efficient, professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I left with the best bras I’ve ever owned, and a fresh dose of body confidence.

Great little bra shop in the heart of Halifax harbor. Staff has been awesome on both of my visits, Its been quick and easy to find exactly what I was looking for even in specialty sizes. Definitely my "go to" destination in the future

This store was recently taken over from another lingerie company and I have to say that the staff at Halifax Bra Store truly understand great customer service.I ordered a Prima Donna bra that the store didn't stock and they called me as soon as it arrived. The store manager even offered to deliver it to my home, how good is that! However, I was able to get downtown and to pick up my fabulous bra.This store has been offering different sales since they opened and the attitude of the staff is "We are here to help you". Covid has hit many businesses hard and this is one business who has really been outstanding!
