We booked a private dog training session with Jason and would highly recommend him. He is passionate about his work, knowledgeable and friendly, and made us feel confident that we were in excellent hands when it came to training our dog.

This PetSmart location is easily best among the ones in HRM. My wife and I went here the day before getting our new puppy and were given all sorts of helpful information, we were able to chat with the puppy trainer and get a good idea of the training class which we are now taking.
We also came here about 48 hours into owning our new puppy, with the new puppy blues and our heads on backwards, they managed to find us a treat our puppy is now crazy about and has enhanced her training tenfold.

Huge kudos to Jason Alexander the trainer at petsmart bayers lake. He is amazing at his job!! He really packs in so much information in each class and if you listen and follow his tips and tricks, putting in the work at home you will be successful! You can really tell he cares and petsmart is truely lucky to have him! Our little Sophie absoluetly loves him and we can't wait to start the next set of classes. Thank you so much Jason!

Always helpful staff. Large space with a lot of product. Some grooming services. Some pocket pets, birds and fish. Rewards system. My only complaint is product prices aren't always comparable, but that's a company thing. Not an individual franchise thing. Lots of parking.

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Ayric, the manager at the Bayers lake store. I gave a review last month over a “not the greatest dog grooming” experience at the store. Ayric replied almost instantly with an apology. I went into the store, he set me up with a great deal on my dog’s food, also got a super deal on a new fish tank, and he set up a grooming appointment to tidy Sonny up! He went above and beyond, and I truly appreciate it! He definitely kept a faithful customer’s business, and I plan on suggesting his store for any one who wants fair customer service! Thanks Ayric!

Doesn't have everything needed almost all fish I buy from there die but the 2 week kind of warranty where you can return the dead fish and get more or something of the same value is great.

Never never never take your pet for grooming. I am devastated. I had my cat grooming(full bath) this morning. He is a Himalayan. I requested for a good trim to have the whole body with the same hair length as of Scottish fold. Showed them picture as well. After an hour I was called hi pick him up. When I went there, I couldn’t believe my eyes, they shaved his body completely except face and tail. It looked horrible! Apart from this, they gave him a waterless bath without my consent when I wanted a full water bath. I specifically mentioned “I DONT WANT A WATERLESS BATH”. This is negligence and fraud. When questioned, they started to be rude, argue and lie about it. People working here are sick. They are rude, unprofessional and have zero skills.

I paid $100 for my dog's bath, but the staff didn't trim his nails (which was included in the price), and the reason they gave was that my dog was too active. And they didn't waive this fee when I paid.

I have come here numerous times and I believe they may be severely understaffed. Usually I have to wait 15-20 minutes for a store associate to help each time. In the end I ended up going to the front of the store to get someone even though someone in the back had seen me at least 4 to 5 times. They weren't particularly friendly however I can probably largely blame that on the franchise not paying their employees enough would be my guess. May or may not go back to this location again.

I just had my American Eskimo groomed at Petsmart in BAYERS LAKE. Lillian did a great job! Eskie can be a bit of a handful to groom, at times, according to other groomers, however , Lillian had no problems. Thank you, Lillian and you can expect to hear from Eskie again when he needs a hair cut. I highly recommend Lillian at Petsmart?

We took our puppy to beginner and intermediate classes at the Bayers Lake location. Jason was the trainer and I cannot say enough about how great he is! Jason made everyone feel comfortable and really connected with every dog. He gave us confidence in skills to handle our pup in public and at home. You can tell from the first class he loves dogs and is excellent at what he does. I would recommend Jason to anyone!!

Only a few customers in the store and no one acknowledged me until I left. I went back in after looking online to find the item was actually in stock in store. I wandered around looking for it, and finally approached an employee asking for help. I explained what I was looking for, and that I looked but couldn’t find it. She pointed to an aisle and said it’s probably down there… again no other customers to help. I looked again with no luck. This time she didn’t acknowledge me when I left empty handed.Pretty disappointed and hard to justify shopping in person when it’s easier to find items on line. I really expected better.
