Service Manager has zero empathy for any customers. Staff are robots who put on a smile. Service guys don’t seem to actually care either. Dealership prices too. If you actually care about your Subaru you should take it to Symmetrical Auto

Love Subaru... but this dealer has left a bad taste in my mouth more than once. They're the only game in town, and they act like it too.
Most recently, called to book an appointment and mentioned I wasn't interested in package D as the cost exceeded $1,800 ($1,550 + shop supplies + tax).
Asked to book in for plugs and fluids (brake, CVT, diff). They wouldn't give me a quote over the phone, but promised to follow up. Surprise... they didn't bother.
Called Symmetrical Autoworks on Windmill... they're Subaru specialists, have a great rep, and offered beat Steele's price by $900 (50%).
Considering trading my VW for a WRX... planned on having that conversation while my Subaru was in for service, but I'm not going to give my cash to Steele because they treat their customers like dirt.
The O'Regans dealer in Bridgewater would be happy to take my cash, so I'll make the drive.

Worse service I've had at Steele Subaru since there's been a change in service staff. I had to go in twice to get my MVI. The mechanic broke a wheel sensor while fixing car. The service people at desk are not experienced enough.

Basma was our salesperson and she was amazing from going in to look at a 2025 Outback three weeks ago, to today when she texted to make sure things were going well with the car. Very attentive, dedicated and always willing to help us out no matter what.
My wife and I wanted a Subaru, but Basma and our Financal Service Manager, Mike, really made us feel like we made the right decision. From showing us all our options to making sure we were staying in our budget and even helping us save money where we could.
I cannot recommend Steele Subaru enough. It’s not a great time to buy a car (or anything else, for that matter) but having team members like Basma and Mike really made it a positive experience and at the end of it all we end up with a super reliable car that can handle any amount of bad weather. And when it’s time to trade it in many years from now, I guarantee I’ll be going back.

TLDR: Terrible service, sent me home with more problems, don't take accountability for their mistakes.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with the service department at Steele Subaru. I will never be returning, and after speaking with friends who have brought in their subarus, it seems like this is unfortunately a common experience with this location. I could not recommend them less.
I took my vehicle in when the check engine light went on, and had a discussion with the service front desk employees that I wasn't sure what was going on, but the vehicle was shaking when driving and that I wanted them to investigate and to fix everything that was wrong with the vehicle. They called me back and explained that ONLY one ignition coil needed to be replaced, as well as the front right ball joint, front links and bushings, and that they needed to do an alignment. After I picked up my vehicle, it was having issues starting (which they clearly created), and I had to take it back the NEXT morning to get this addressed. This business does NOT value quality control. My service advisor was Zayed Khan, and I am skeptical about his knowledge and abilities in this roll after the service I received.
TWO DAYS LATER, my vehicle broke down on the Cabot Trail in an area with no cell phone service, which can obviously happen anytime, but is extremely frustrating two days after getting it 'serviced' at Steele Subaru. I got it towed to Central Nova Subaru in New Glasgow, who provided me with the best service I have ever received from a dealership, and noted many significant issues with my car that they were shocked were not brought to my attention by Steele Subaru, including seized pulley and belt, and a need for new mufflers, front bearings and backing plates, driveshaft, brake rotor and pads, all of which should have been addressed by Steele Subaru prior to this breakdown.
After I contacted Steele Subaru about my situation, the customer service manager refused to take any accountability for the unacceptable service that was provided at this dealership, which was extremely disappointing and I would have forgiven had accountability been taken. I will never be returning, and advise everyone that it is WORTH THE 2 HOUR TRIP to go to Central Nova Subaru if you are ever in a situation where you need a service issue addressed by the dealership.

I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience I had when I purchased a new 2024 Impreza from Mark Milligan at Steele Subaru on Kempt Road in Halifax in September 2024.
Mark was personal, professional and very helpful. He provided me with an overview of all the important features the car had to offer, he came along for the test drive to show me how to use them, and also gave me with a booklet all about the car and it's specs so I could go through it and he could answer any questions I had.
Furthermore, when I picked up the car, Mark introduced me to the Service Team, let me choose a Subaru item as a token of appreciation and he always offered me coffee whenever I came into the dealership. I really appreciated these little extras!
Based on all of the above, I felt confident buying a car from this dealership and going forward, I feel that I will be well taken care of as a customer. The entire process, from the initial meeting I had with Mark, until I drove the car off the lot was smooth and easy.
I have had this car for a couple weeks and love it!
I would definitely recommend the Subaru Impreza and Steele Subaru to anyone shopping around for a new vehicle.?

We recently stopped in to Halifax Subaru when out looking for our new car. We were assisted by Adam Pope. My husband and I were very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. We decided we wanted to buy a hybrid and definitely would have considered them if they had had a hybrid version of the Outback or Forrester.
My daughter had recently bought a Subaru Ascent and I curiously asked her how she found the person helping her. She was very impressed and come to find out it was Adam as well.

I resently purchased a mini cooper countryman through Ting. Absolutely the best experience. He was very attentive and patient with all my questions. I would highly recommend Ting. He kept me undated on all the progress before sale and very attentive at time of sale.

My first new car buying experience was not what I had hoped.
The salesman seemed uninterested and was unprofessional.
I had issues with my financing that they did not seem to care about or want to help with.
Should have gone to the Bridgewater dealer as was reccomended to me.
