Booked an alignment and oil change back in December for 1pm today. Alignment needed because I had a flat in the summer and Steele Subaru said I needed one but their machine was busted. Went to drop off car at 1pm and mentioned Iād like to speak with the finance folks to see what deals are out there. Finance guy told me to come in for 4 when I pick up car and speak with sales rep.
I was looking to potentially do a trade in for a newer model if price was right. It wasnāt which is fine, not the reason for this review. The reason is they decided not to do the oil change and alignment I originally came in for. After the brief discussion on the new vehicle I was expecting to simply drive home but was told I needed to wait for them to finish the work. Frustrating but fine itās an error. After waiting until 5:20 when everyone else has left from the service department my car was finally ready.
I go into service area and was given the oil change price, okay what about the alignment? Itās not done. I told them the whole reason I booked the appointment was the alignment to save my tires and the poor fella behind the counter tells me āthe technician says your wear pattern is normal and itās not neededā. This makes no sense. He says the canāt do it tonight, and can come back tomorrow. I have a baby and a full time job, as we respect how busy their garage is itās only reasonable for the garage to respect how busy we are. Truly disappointed with Steele as I love Subarus and now I feel Iāll have to go out of town to buy them in the future. Itās clear when they heard the possibility of sale they picked up on that and donāt care about service. Needless to say last time Iāll be going to dealer for anything outside warranty. Disappointed.

In 2023 I purchased a certified used 2018 Impreza Sport Tech w/Eye Sight. This is pretty much fully loaded. When I bought the vehichle, I spent the extra funds for a Subaru 3 yr bumper to bumper warranty, paint and rust protection and upholstery warranty. Since I've owned the car, I've discovered a number of administrative issues. When I went to use the vehicle warranty, it was discovered that the initial paperwork was incorrectly submitted causing a significant delay in my repair. When I bought the upholstery warranty, and it was described to me, I got the impression that there wasn't much not covere. Since then i've discovered that damage caused by careless actions and possibilty even deliberate damage may be covered, but regular wear is not covered. I paid $1000 for this warranty, and it seems to have been a significant waste of money. I talked to the sales manager, and he promised to put me in touch with the used car manager, this king he may have resources to assist . This was two weeks ago, and I've heard nothing from them since. It seems maintaining good customer relations, may not be high on their priorities. If you're buying a vehicle from them, I would not recommend purchasing that warranty. It was not worth the expense if its unusable.

I had a great experience at Steele Subaru. From start to finish, the service felt very personal and well organized. My Sales Consultant, Ting Cheung, was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain all the features of the vehicle. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, which made the whole process feel relaxed and stress-free.
Adam Prosser was also wonderful to work with. He sent clear and timely reminder emails about the documents needed for car pickup and explained all the terms very clearly, which made everything smooth and easy.
Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I truly appreciated the professionalism and care from the team at Steele Subaru.

Iām extremely disappointed with the service Iāve received regarding my extended tire warranty. When I purchased the warranty, I was assured it would make future tire issues quick and easy to resolve. That has not been my experience at all.
Two weeks ago, I brought in a tire with a nail in it. I was told Iād get an update the same day or the nextāno call ever came. I was also warned that replacements were on backorder and could take up to a month, which is why I brought the tire in right away.
Since then, Iāve had to repeatedly call for updates. Last week I was told the tire hadnāt even been inspected yet, but that Iād get a call later that day. Again, no call. This morning I was told the service manager would reach outāstill nothing.
Itās now been two weeks, Iām still driving on a spare, and Iāve received zero communication or progress. As someone traveling with a young child, safety and timely service were major reasons I agreed to buy the warranty. Instead, I feel misled and let down.
At this point, it feels like the assurances I was given about the warranty were not accurate. The lack of follow-through and communication is unacceptable.
I hope this review prompts better service and honest communication for future customers, because my experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

This was my first time leasing a car and I don't think it could have gone any smoother. Ting not only showed us the cars but also was extremely helpful in explaining the process and answering any questions. Adam in Finance was very informative and responsive to emails and everything went smoothly. I couldn't be happier with my new Crosstrek and the whole leasing experience at Steele Subaru. Thank you!

As someone who has bought multiple cars from multiple dealers- including two from this particular dealer I would implore you to look elsewhere. I have nothing to gain from writing this review other than stating the quality of service, punctuality, cost of repairs, communication and total customer service experience is sub-standard. In multiple cases I have felt that I had wasted my time and money visiting the service department and making purchases here.
Subarus are great vehicles but I would highly recommend you look to a competitor if you have any intentions of purchasing one. May I recommend Central Nova Subaru where the service department is up-front and communication is more pleasant.
