I stopped into this fibre store hoping to find Nova Scotia made yarns. The owner immediately helped me (and my husband who was with) locate the NS yarns. She knew details about the brands/spinners and showed such genuine enthusiasm for the fibre arts that it made shopping and subsequently purchasing NS yarns from The Loop a nice experience.

I have had great experiences getting a variety of knitting supplies here, in addition to other crafting items and notions (e.g., embroidery). The service is always friendly and I can usually find what I need. Always love to pop in when I’m on Barrington!

For my first time in the shop the over all experience was fantastic. The staff member working was quite helpful, knowledgeable, passionate and very personable. Also the price point was amazing and accessible for someone just getting into the art of knitting on a budget. They have made a repeat customer in one experience.

Not the biggest selection of yarn, but it might still have what you need and there are a lot of options for other fibre arts. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

the store is a bit small, and the lovely clerk spent a good twenty minutes chatting with me to help me find yarn for my project - I think it's a great place, a bit tricky to find the yarn if you're just passing by, but a lovely community-focused spot if you're local

Mimi rescued me on my last visit to Halifax. Twice. She helped me to fix my knits that were meant to be purls by lending me a crochet hook. The most amazing part was getting to know her while I knit a few rounds. She is so lovely. Lovely yarns too in a diverse selection including locally grown and processed. Which I had to buy. ? Thanks Mimi for fronting me the toll bridge coins. You’re a gem in our community. ⭐️

The owner, Mimi, was very helpful. She carries lovely yarns processed locally, and had beautiful roving for spinning. A great little shop, and right in the middle of the portside area. I spun the roving as soon as I got home!
