Visited Salt Spray for the second time today, as like the first, very welcoming atmosphere and the food was delicious! Tried the Dutch Pancakes which are a must try for everyone...will definitely return!

Anthea is the sweetest person I met in NS so far. This place was a pleasant surprise on my motorcycle ride, where I had an ice-cream and a pop, but I was blessed with the energy of this place and its stories.
I will definitely be back for the food, art and more chat about life. =)

A delightful place to spend time. The atmosphere is welcoming and the place - attractive. The food is real and flavourful. Being able to pick up readymade food to go is a major benefit. All in all: a great place to visit, shop,
eat and enjoy it all.

Ate a delicious Pork Vindaloo with a deep flavour profile. Rich, warm curry with tender pork. So satisfying and tasty. Perfect on a cool day to warm your soul. We were welcomed warmly and served delicious meals in a very timely manner. Will definitely be returning to sample more of the menu. So nice to find some flavour on the Shore!

Stopped in for lunch and coffee after a lovely bike ride on the Gaetz Brook Greenway. Excellent! The cafe is conveniently located near the trailhead, the coffee is a dark roast Italian (YUM!) and the soups were all homemade and flavourful. Anthea was kind and fun to chat with. Highly recommend to other cyclists or anyone looking for good food on the eastern shore.

I was so pleased to be the first customer of the Saltspray Art Cafe ! The food was fabulous. I had the homemade roasted red pepper hummus with a ciabatta bun and a nice hot brewed coffee. This will be my go to place now !!!

My mother and I went to the Eastern shore gallery today and we had such a wonderful experience. It’s full of unique, beautiful things. Got a great little a Turkish lamp and we bought lamb and chicken curry that was absolutely fantastic (and I don’t normally eat lamb). Thanks for such a great experience and we’ll definitely be back and highly recommend for both the art and the food!!

Today we set out on an adventure that brought us here expecting it to be A stop in our day of excursions. Well... this was the excursion. I always love seeing what has come of an old church. We sat blissfully in the eatery and enjoyed amazing authentic South African food. We all tried something different so we could share - including dessert ! All the while we soaked in the stories and some history shared with us by the owners who are emersed and enthusiastic in having you come and stay for a while (our 'visit' was 2 1/2 hours) The upstairs gallery is stocked full of amazing local art for sale along with some wares from abroad. The atmosphere is a welcoming, inclusive safe space to take a break and enjoy. We are already planning our next visit!
