I have to give a huge shoutout to the Castle Rock Country Inn! We were stranded in the area due to the giant snowstorm this week. Our accommodations elsewhere were cancelled due to the state of emergency and no grocery stores were open... The Castle Rock Inn got us a room and allowed our two large dogs. The restaurant was closed, but they whipped up a huge meal for us anyway and even got a long-term guest in the area for work to come up and play us tunes during our meal! Added bonus: they also opened the bar, LOL.The gentleman at the front desk (who never told us his name) made sure we were well taken care of and was so flexible and kind from start to finish.Cape Breton hospitality at it's finest!!!

Very cozy place near Ingonish. A small property but very friendly people. Rooms are nice. From one side we can see view of the woods and ocean behind it. Not exactly in Ingonish but very close to the newly established gondola. Complementary breakfast was also good.

It's a beautiful bed and breakfast place. Amazing views of the Middle Head Trail. Breakfast was very nice, simple yet had a personal touch.

Beautiful place to stay, lovely breakfast with a view over the bay.Comfortable bed and deluxe pull out which was comfortable as well.Pet friendly, we brought 2 dogs and 2 birds and all the staff we met were pleasant.A black out curtain would have been nice instead of a white curtain.

Fantastic stay, It is a great inn that has a great sea view on the mountain top. The front desk gentleman is very helpful and informative. Yes, its restaurant is currently not open for lunch/dinner. But the breakfast is very good which is included in the stay. There are some restaurants within 15 minutes drive. You can find one for your dinner. I hoped I could have stayed longer.

The place is a little dated and could use some work!It was clean and the staff was amazing!Breakfast was great, but we were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for dinner. It's lovely and quaint. Very romantic ?Rooms: Dated and needs some work!Nearby activities: Nothing really nearby and cannot walk to anything but the view is spectacular. The building and grounds need a little TLC.

It’s a good inn at a good price. The rooms are as described, they are quiet. The staff is helpful. When we booked there was a claim of a restaurant and bar. There were neither. Breakfast was available. There was a promise of wifi - it was erratic at best, often off, and the explanations changed every time. Having visited, I get it, that this is very rural and service is erratic - but then explain that (as they should’ve done the restaurant) on the site. There was no effort to compensate or make good on the lack of services - because where else can you really go?Rooms: As described. Clean. Quiet.Nearby activities: Lots of nature and the Cabot trail.Walkability: Nothing near to walk to. Car is required.Food & drinks: Not available. Breakfast only.

Clean cozy home with beautiful view and large yard to stargaze and take in the ocean view in, anytime of the day!The manager Shane, cooked the best breakfast and had a wonderful bright personal charm. We were thankful for his local insight of places to visit and eat at along the Cabot trail. Thanks again!Robyn and Frank

We booked this hotel many months before we travelled through Canadian Affairs, only to arrive on the day to say they had over booked and booked us in at the Keltic Lodge 11 km down the road we had just travelled, it was gone 6pm in the evening. They tried to sell it to us as an upgrade. That could not be further from the truth, they had booked us in at the cheapest room the Keltic lodge had which did not match the standard of the Castle Rock room. It was a chalet type room about a 1/4 mile from the main building down an unlit road. I have stayed in better quality budget hotels than this. We asked the Castle Rock if we could eat there as we knew the Keltic lodge would be more expensive, they refused. I would strongly recommend not booking this hotel if you want to avoid a lot of stress.
