I read some of the low reviews. Folks, this is the real deal. If you need instant gratification, try Disneyland. Captain Chester and his son worked really hard to show us a good time. We did get to see a juvenile eagle and three grey seals... very cool and they taught us about them. And then the really hard work and fun started when we went out into the Atlantic to find a Fin Whale, which they did. The son was great at finding them and the Captain told us all about them.We got some amazing shots and a check off of my bucket list... right up there with finding lions in Africa! We couldn't be happier with this father/son team. Thank you so much!

Very knowledgeable guide and friendly service from Jake. Well worth the price for a fantastic outing with fin whale, sun fish, tuna, bald eagle, and seal sightings!

I would give them 3.5 if I could.I booked this trip last minute, after it looked like my whale watching in Cheticamp might not be able to run.Sadly, we were unable to see whales. The outfit it small, one zodiac. We had one person with us on the boat, but I find with the zodiac tours it's impossible for them to give too much information or communication. We were brought to a bald eagle nest, where we were able to see some eagles. Then we went along the shore and viewed some seals. Our search for whales was sadly in vain, and while some reviews seem to suggest that whales were seen recently, it does seem that more than half of the trips don't see whales. Which is fine...whales are wild animals, but it does come across more as a wildlife viewing tour as opposed to a whale watching tour. It's only an hour and a half in duration. If you've gone on a whale watching tour that included a naturalist or marine biologist, you will not get the same experience with this trip. They did not have a whale guarantee.

Very little conversation between the crew and the watchers. Aside from the fact that we didn't see a whale there were no washrooms available to the public, you had to drive up the road to the information centre. Very disappointing.

Should focus more on weather more before tour start and give refunds if not even single animal watched but nothing was done.

We saw an eagles nest and 3 seals head far away in water. We couldn't see any whales. The captain who took us seems to be less experienced as we hit some fish on the surface of the water with a big thud sound. There seems to be no system on the boat to track the whales or fish in the ocean. We were very excited to see whales but couldn't see anything. I hope when they take us to see whales, they have proper systems in place to track them and show the tourists for what they paid for. The view from boat was good though. The view of land for the 2 hrs was good.

We took the zodiac out on a tour around the coast. We went out to Ingonish Island and circled around it, getting a great look at the houses on the island. The boys took us over beyond the keltic lodge and we saw some seals and an eagle. The water was calm & the weather was pristine.Great experience.

Amazing experience! Nice guys, definitely recommend. Due to the high wind, we couldn't go far and we got refunded. But we got to see a bald eagle. It would have been worth watching whales on that cool boat.

The Ingonish Whale Watching Tour was a pleasant experience for what it is.This is a true and honest review for what it is. The price is more than fair to see the views, bald eagles, and seals. The cliffs along Cape Breton Highlands are stunning. The boat- as a Zodiac they are not meant to be comfortable but being able to switch positions and put feet in various positions make it comfortable. The crew- genuinely nice and was able to answer questions pertaining to local restaurants, and things to do.The length of two hours and cost of roughly 50 dollar makes it for a solid experience overall. While one could assume to see whales from the company name, whales won’t always be in the area which should be expected.Anyone giving these guys a negative review should drop expectations, and appreciate it the tour for what it is as a small mom and pop shop enterprise.

I’ve been on whale watching tours with no whales in sight and had an amazing time. This tour was a slow boat ride along the shore with a crew who was not interested in anything other than putting in the time. Our teenager was so bored he fell asleep. I would look elsewhere if you want a fun afternoon.
