We initially had planned to visit Cape Smokey then male our way up to Marble Mountain. We later found out Cape Smokey is open Wednesday to Sunday (for now anyways) and Marble wasn’t opened yet (mid January). We hesitated between postponing till February but decided to stick with our date and stay longer at Cape Smokey. We were not disappointed. The hill is gorgeous, folks are welcoming and the snow is amazing! We highly recommend. My only regret… packing so much food! The menu looks amazing and there was more business opened than I expected (pizza, convenient store…)

Every fall when we visit cape Breton, cape smokey gondola ride is a must. This year was amazing too, we love that they are pet friendly, we could take our pup with us and he had a blast. The view from the top is amazing, I love that the fact that they have live music and you can get a hot cuppa coffee while you enjoy the view.

A calm and quiet place to spend time with your family or friends especially in the fall season. Rope way ride is little expensive but it was nice experience. Sunny days are more suitable for the rope way rides. In my opinion the best time to visit is fall season .

What an incredible place to see the ocean from the hilltops and at the time of year we were there the colors would just starting to change and all the trees. We enjoyed a hike along the trail at the top of the hill to an inland Lake, what a spectacular View.

For almost $50 a person to use the lift, it was quite over priced. Only a small snack bar serving crepes was at the top. You could walk some trails, but other then that there wasn't much else. Beautiful scenery....

Very nice views, the gondola is quick and comfortable. We came just after they opened, unfortunately we couldn't see much because of the morning fog, but after a little while it cleared up and i was treated to some of my favorite views in the province.

Overpriced. 50$ per person. 25 would be fair. Great views. Hike was the only attraction at the top. Loads of potential for future development.

Bit pricey for the gondola ride. Great view. Nice staff. If you do hike to the lake, it's 30ish minutes one way. It's marked, but not well enough. And wear good shoes. There is a lot of uneven ground (I get it, it's a hike), and some tricky marshy bits to pass over. I'm saying this because there were a lot of people in sandals.

Wow. The view is amazing. Very soothing. We took the gondola ride - a little expensive, though, at $50 per person. No waiting, though it was a long summer weekend.About the views? A photo is worth a thousand words.

The Gondola ride was great. Views from the top were beautiful and they had some nice Adirondacks for you to sit in and a shack that sold merchandise and beverages.

Amazing views after taking the Gondola ride. It was kind of pricey for an 8 minute ride but worth the views.

Great views from above the mountain but once you get up there, not much to do except for a hike that can be difficult for novices. The hike does take you to a lake where you can kayak, but paying $55/pp is not worth it during summer time. It looks like a great area for skiing, but summer activities and very limited. They have a couple of stalls at the top for overpriced coffee, food and merchandise.

Great views, I don't recommend taking the hike to the lake for the kayaking they offer unless you are in shape. Otherwise it's beautiful.
