We stayed at the Williams Beach House on September 27th and really enjoyed the experience! Our room, the Sunset Suite, provided a great view of the ocean and we could hear the waves breaking on the shore. As we were the only guests that night, which we understand doesn’t happen often, we chose to dine in our room. John prepared an amazing meal! Apps consisted of the goat cheese salad and crab dip, entrees included the halibut and fruits of the sea and our shared dessert was cheesecake. Everything was delicious! Loved the fact that we could enjoy our own wine while we dined. Breakfast the next morning at the chef’s table was delicious, western omelettes, hash browns and toast, great way to start the day! John is a wonderful host and an amazing chef! If you’re looking for a change from large hotels/resorts be sure and try the Williams Beach House.

Chef John has created a unique paradise for guests to enjoy direct beach access (audible waves crashing all night), spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, and masterful meals prepared fresh on site. We could not be happier with our choice. This IS the place to stay in Ingonish on The Cabot Trail without question. Thank you!

Beautiful location. Spectacular on a sunny day. Can sit on private patio and see views or walk a little bit to the beach. Very quiet and relaxing. We had them prepare us dinner. Very nice place.

An unique and pleasant BB plus fine dining experience. A relative new room with a great ocean view. A spacious contemporary washroom. A cozy deck with table and chairs. John, the host, nice and considerate, a professional chef, good at what he does. The halibut florentine was exceptional good. what a enjoyable and memorable day, hiked the Skyline trail, one of the best places along the Cabot trail, wonderful halibut diner, slept with the soothing ocean waves. The breakfast was outstanding as well, a tender version of the omelet, liked it so much.

We were supposed to be staying at Williams Beach house this week for our 10th wedding anniversary. A trip to Cape Breton that we’ve been planning and looking forward to for a year. Given the devastating destruction from hurricane Fiona we’ve had to cancel. We’re still without power ourselves and vacationing in Cape Breton right now just feels wrong especially with officials recommending avoiding non-essential travel to Cape Breton to make clean up efforts easier. We were met with no compassion or understanding from the owners who continued to charge us for the cancellation. We would 100% have made a trip here in the future but after this I’m not so sure. Our other accommodations have provided 100% refunds and been amazing in working with us to reschedule at a future time.

On our two week trip through Nova Scotia we stayed two nights here. Absolutely fantastic. The view is outstanding… overlooks the Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Go to sleep at night with the sliding glass door open and hear the waves crash against the shoreline. John Williams the proprietor is a red seal chef and his breakfasts are the best we had anywhere in our trip. So we decided to eat there for dinner also and if you do you’ll have made the best choice in the Ingonish area. I would give this B&B more than five stars if I could..

Room was tops, food was over the top, owners were friendly and available, location over looking the beach was magnificent! The best place, by far, that we stayed in on our 11 day trip to Nova Scotia!

We spent two nights at the Williams Beach house and highly recommend it. There are two spacious rooms on the second floor with private decks and beautiful ocean views. The rooms are nicely decorated and maintained with high quality linens, a mini refrigerator, large bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The Williams are gracious hosts and John is a trained chef who, in addition to our delicious breakfasts, prepared a first class dinner for us one of the evenings. (We were able to select starters, entrees and desserts from a menu provided to us). Don’t miss this place: it is a real find in a charming small town.

John and Sherry provided a beautiful experience during our stay. The room was new, clean, bathroom was spacious and had a nice deck which faced the ocean. The ocean is easily accessible from their lawn. A beautiful beach to walk in either direction. If you are into sunrises, this is the place for you ! John is a chef. They provide an excellent breakfast and provide the option of having John cook dinner for you. Take him up on it !! A delicious private dinner on your deck with the ocean in the background...Oh so nice !! They also willing to share their knowledge of the area if you have any questions. We would definitely return to this B&B.

This was an excellent place to stay along the Cabot Trail. The rooms were inviting, comfortable, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. The balcony was beautiful, and had a stunning view. We had the pleasure of eating dinner here, and the four of us had various meals - each of us loved the food, it was amazing!. The breakfast in the morning was served at the time requested, and was also some of the best breakfast we have ever had. Staying upstairs still felt very private, and we had access to the beach. Checkout was smooth, and William and his wife were a pleasure to deal with. Overall, it was a lovely experience and would recommend anyone to stay here, and we would definitely stay here again in the future!

Such a lovely spot! The food was fantastic, the service friendly, and eating dinner to the soundtrack of the crashing waves on the beach can't be beat! We just went for dinner, but I think it would be delightful to stay there as well - maybe next time! John and his family are wonderful hosts!

An absolutely gorgeous place to stay. We had an incredible time on the beautiful beach which is only a few steps away. The food was indescribably delicious. The best meal we have had in a long time! The rooms are clean and beautiful with a great view of the water. And the included breakfast is something you would expect to pay for. We will be returning as soon as we can!
