The Iona Heights Inn is a highly recommended accommodation located in a beautiful community in Cape Breton. Guests praise its stunning views, especially from the rooms and balconies, where bald eagles can often be seen in the trees. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with high-quality beds, pillows, and linens that make guests feel at home. Many reviews highlight the well-equipped rooms, which include amenities like a Keurig coffee machine, microwave, mini fridge, TV with streaming options, and plenty of storage. The bathrooms are also clean and functional, with good water temperature control. The Inn offers a range of facilities and nearby activities, including a small pool, basketball court, laundry services, and access to a store selling snacks and alcohol. WiFi is surprisingly good for the area, making it easy for guests to work remotely or stream entertainment. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area, with attractions like the Highland Museum, Louisburg Fortress, and the Cabbot Trail within an hour’s drive. Guests often enjoy the attached Frolic & Folk Pub & Grill, which serves excellent food, drinks, and features friendly staff and lively folk music. The pub’s atmosphere and quality food make it a favorite spot for dinner. However, food options are limited after 7 pm, so planning ahead is recommended. Overall, visitors feel safe and well taken care of by the friendly staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. With its breathtaking views, cozy rooms, and excellent amenities, the Iona Heights Inn is considered a true gem perfect for relaxing vacations and family visits.
This is a lovely Inn with fabulous views and plenty of activities to entertain everyone (games for kids, space to run and play, a bar with good beers and food). The staff was very friendly too. Would love to come back!
